gang ~ leaving

    "Guys I'm done, I'm leaving town." I said. I was at the doorsteps of the Curtis house. Everyone was there, the whole gang, after the rumble. Darry was in front of me as the gang was behind.

   "What? Y/n, why?" Said Darry. "I just have to go. This is a shit town anyway, besides my life here is just terrible so why not have a new life in a new place?" I said. "And leave your friends, and your brother behind?" Darry yelled. I stood silent.

   "Get in here." He pushed me inside. I came in stumbling. Everyone looked at me, Darry slams the door and stands in front of me. I was holding my bags, ready to leave town.

   "You think you can just leave this town, just to escape your problems, huh? What's wrong with you?" Said Darry. "You're just gonna leave us just like that huh? Leave your trusted friends and your loving brother? Who's gonna get Dallas out of trouble huh? Who's gonna help Two-Bit lessen his drinking?" He said.

   "Who's gonna prepare Steve for his drag races? Who's gonna help Ponyboy with his homework? Who's gonna help Johnny when he got no place to stay? Who's gonna help me with my bills, other than Soda? Who's gonna be Sodas most trusted buddy huh?" He said. I realized, I held this gang together.

   "Where are you even gonna go Y/n?" Said my brother, Dallas. "New York was shit anyway." "I don't know, Dal. I just had to leave." I mumbled. I started to tear up. Dallas got up and hugged me. "I'm so sorry. I'm a terrible sister." I said. "You? A terrible sister? Get outta here." He said, I look up at him. "What?" I said, sniffling.

   "You're the best older sister I've had! You got all of us out of trouble and everything bad. Because of you, I'm not in the cooler anymore, Darry's bills are paid, Pony got decent grades, Two-Bit only drinks on special occasions, Johnny finally feels comfortable and happy, Steve is now the drag race champion, Soda probably would've never gotten over his breakup with Sandy if it weren't for you. Y/n, you saved all of us." He said. I broke down in tears. Everyone else hugged me.

   "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I'm never gonna leave again. God, I don't know what I'd do without you guys." I said.

   "I don't what I'd do without you, sis." Said Dallas.
