It's my birthday (4th August) so thought this was the most appropriate chapter to write.
Coach:
He wished you a happy birthday with a tight bear hug. He once found these delicious snacks he knew you liked so he kept them stored until your birthday came. So both spend the day inside the safe room, just eating the snacks while playing various board games because there wasn't really anything else to do.
Rochelle:
She wished to make your birthday a fun day, even in this shitty situation. So both stayed at the safe room for the day. She woke you up with a kiss, wishing you a happy birthday. She said she thinks there is a store nearby and could both go check it out for cake or something else delicious. If you say sure, will both go and search for a cake or something else delicious. If you say you are fine without it, she will nod and try to figure out what else you can both do to celebrate your birthday.
Ellis:
He will still wish to celebrate it so he will sneak out and search for some stuff. And he felt so lucky when he found a store that had balloons and confetti. He took it then hurried back and impatiently waited for you to wake up, deciding to blow up the balloons while he waits. When you woke up, he threw the confetti, yelling a happy birthday before tossing one of the baloons to you, chuckling that he still found these with pure luck. He excitedly bounced around you, asking you what you want to do for your birthday. Naming a few suggestions like explode some zombies, search for cake, just cuddle in the safe room.
Nick:
He just wondered why the hell you would want to celebrate your birthday in this shitty situation with death at the door. When you said it's a nice way to take your mind of the shitty situation, he sighed but told you to stay where it's safe then left. He returned with a cake, saying today is it's expiration day but it's probably fine and he found some candles to put on it. He lit it with his lighter then awkwardly but firmly said he is not singing happy birthday. As you both ate, he hesitated then gave your cheek a kiss and wished you a happy birthday.
