Coach:
People will do anything to pass the time. So when you found some nail polish and gave him a look he didn't even fight it, just put his hands down and told you to make them pretty.
Finally he understood a part of a woman's struggle: to not smudge the damn thing as it dries. No matter how hard he tries it seems harder he tries the more he keeps hitting his nails to things.
He didn't mind them, found it a funny feature. Showed it off to the rest right away, having a good laugh about it.
Rochelle:
When she noticed you lift a small bottle she gasped and asked if that's nail polish. Both inspected for more then she offered to do each other's nails in the next safe room. So once the next safe room came she was fast to discard supplies and sit down, patting opposite to signal to sit.
As you painted them she talked about old drama of friends, laughing and smiling. It felt SO nice to do this, all felt normal again.
At one point towards the end she fell silent, realizing those friends are most likely no more and such silly drama will never happen again. Luckily you saying "done!" pulled her out those thoughts and made her chuckle at the work before giving a thank you kiss.
Ellis:
He had a good laugh when you fetched it off the ground somewhere. You debated doing yours to pass some time, but felt his eyes on you so asked "You want your nails painted?". His nods came fast, laughing at how silly it feels but he has always been intrigued.
As you painted them he had such difficulty sitting still, and then even more difficulty to not do anything until they are at least somewhat dry. He held his fingers so outstretched to avoid ruining your work that your hands began feeling uncomfortable.
He acted out a sassy person and now when he speaks it's all hands and he gets distracted by them so much so will find him having to wait somewhere; hand to his face, inspecting and admiring them.
Nick:
"What the fuck- Ugh why the fuck not, nothing better to do." Not a single way would you have been able to do this before zombies broke out as this is damaging his image, makes him less of a man, and just not something a man should do. You told him plenty of men can and do wear nail polish, but he gave a look that you're very sure you don't even want to know what he thinks of them.
He felt very uncomfortable with it, and kept being distracted by it so you had to remove it the next day.
