Lillian's POV
I didn't think a night out with Stefani would be so...
"Believe it or not, I had fun," Stefani's eyes were focused on the road.
"Let's not make this a habit," I mumbled and stared out the window.
I feel bad. I feel bad that enjoyed my time with Stefani, but not in a friendly bonding way- she gave me butterflies, made me blush. I never saw this side of her..
"Make what a habit?" She looked me up and down when we reached a stop light.
"Stefani, I already told you about looking at me like that," I started to turn my body away from her but her hand ever so gently grips my thigh sending me jolts of energy throughout my body.
"The light is green," i fought so hard to keep myself in check.
"I know but look, there's no cars around," she sighed dreamily.
"Where are you going with this?" I found myself lost in the situation not seeming to want out.
"Why don't you like the way I look at you," she rolls her neck towards my direction and her eyes glowed with everything that made me even more weak in my knees.
And it's not just her hand on my thigh while she's driving me home.
"Fine then," she scoffed and lets go of my leg to shift gears of her car.
"Where are we going? It's so late?" I started getting worried that Kent might be worried because we're out so late.
"We didn't get dessert," she plainly said as we pull up to a gas station on the side of the road.
"And this is where we'll find our dessert here?" I found myself laughing at ridiculous we'd look dressed up in designer going to a gas station for dessert.
"As if there's only one way to enjoy dessert," Stefani spoke lowly...
"Aw don't be like that Lillian. Although- rich and spoiled looks good on you to me, you should still appreciate the little things," Stefani flashed another smirk.
The way she smiled at dinner too..
I've never seen her smile not once and here I am witnessing it twice in one night.
"I'll be right back," she parks the car and gives me a last glance before leaving me alone.
It just escalates every passing second I'm alone with her. Dinner didn't even settle the tension between us. Even though everything is flowing right now in the spur of the moment, I already know that the second we get home, it'll be like tonight never happened and I can't see myself forgetting about this or ignoring this...
This...
I don't even know what I'm describing.
"Out the car, come on now. I'm rich, but we're not eating or drinking in this baddie," she opens the door for me.
Nope, I will never get used to how her door opens upward.
Stefani offers a hand to help me out and her eyes were twinkling with excitement, I know she's excited. She has a small smile on her face for whatever reason she's hiding something behind her back.
"What's on the menu for dessert," I found myself smiling back.
"I present to you..." she takes a few steps back and graciously hands me a-
I couldn't hold back this one, I had to laugh.
"Really?" I shoved her and she quickly recovered from fumbling her presentation.
"It's a blue raspberry slushy with air heads and jolly ranchers- might have bribed the cashier to slip a little apple Smirnoff but that's besides the point," she hands me the drink that had two straws.
"Stefani, you've got to be kidding me, I'm not drinking that!" I yelled with the biggest grin on my face.
"Don't knock it til you try it," she tried to hand me the slushy cup again.
"I will knock you out try and give it to me again," I gave a playful warn.
"You won't drink this but you'll go on a dinner date with your step daughter? I knew you were weird," Stefani's brow arched with another smirk and I gasped- but I wasn't bothered in the moment. I was still smiling for whatever stupid reason.
"Give it here," I shrugged.
"Oh now you want it?" She steps closer to me.
I keep forgetting how tall she is..
I started backing up because clearly the drink was in arms length but I found myself backed up against her car with no choice but to let her come forward.
"Stefani..." I spoke shakily.
Everything was a rush, I didn't know what to think or expect when she put one arm to the side as she stood over me and she sipped from the other straw with her eyes never leaving mine.
It was only a brief second I could breathe before our gaze met again.
"Just... a... sip..." she holds the cup for me to drink out of and I gave in.
My mouth was hit with a variety of sour flavors but it was sweet all at the same time. My throat was warm but cold from the vodka.
"See, it isn't that bad," I could smell her perfume and the lingering sweet smell of her drink.
"But this is, Stefani," I groaned as I gently push her off me. The warmth of her skin gave me goosebumps. My fingertips tingled reminiscing her just seconds afterwards.
"We're having a girls night," she shrugged and laughed as she twirled her keys around her finger once she handed the slushy to me give me another sip.
"Toss it when you're done. I'm not staining these seats with cheap blue dye," her cat eyes dilated a dark black as she walked away from me but her eyes lingered on taking me in as much as possible..
