Bad Batch

I made it kind of platonic and also kind of non platonic.

I let out a sigh as I set on my bed and read through my book. My comm soon went off and I saw it was from Wrecker.

"What did you do, Wreck?" I asked softly.

"You know that's, a shitty way to greet one of your friends. Just cause I'm the one calling doesn't mean there is some crisis happening." Wrecker said angrily.

"True, so what's going on."

He instantly shut up and a smile spread across my face.

"There is a crisis.... Um we won't be able to make it tonight."

"What happen?"

"We got called away again. Hunter wanted to tell you but-"

"It's okay, we can just hang out another day. Tell the boys I love them." I said before I hun up.

I had been friends with the Bad Batch for sometime now. Since they had saved my life I had become friends with them, and somewhat more, (we didn't do labels).

It wasn't something out of the ordinary for one of them to call and tell me that plans had changed, but I kind of felt a little heart broken that I wouldn't get to spend my birthday with them.

I soon heard the doorbell ring and I stood up and answered it.

"Happy birthday!" Wrecker exclaimed as he and the boys sent me a smile.

"But you said-"

"We wanted to surprise you." Tech explained.

I shook my head and moved to the side to let them inside. I got the cake out of the fridge and smiled as I started to cut everyone a piece.

"Thank you." Wrecker said as he kissed my cheek.

I swatted him away and handed a piece to Crosshair.

"Thanks." He said with a nod of his head.

After we finished eating we all set down and turned on the holonet.

"I have something for you." A voice said from beside me.

"I thought I said no gifts." I said as Tech handed me a box.

"I didn't buy anything." He said calmly.

I rolled my eyes and opened the box to reveal a communicator.

"Why did you-"

"So you can contact us whenever you need us." Tech said softly.

"I-"

"Your welcome."

I shook my head and sent him a smile.

"Thank you." I said as I put it away.

We all made our way to the couch and I laid my head on Wrecker's shoulder and laid my feet on Hunter's lap. Crosshair and Tech was both sitting on the floor in front of us.

"I love you guys." I mumbled as I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

"We love you too." Crosshair said softly.
