tackling an enemy is never easy.
especially when the enemy is faceless and nameless,
threatening to spill every secret the girls have ever had.
and as you know, secrets never stay hidden in rosewood.

I WAS SITTING IN BED WITH JASON WHEN ALISON KNOCKED ON THE DOOR.
"Are you decent?" She asked. Jason and I chuckled.
"Yes." We both replied.
Alison walked in to the room, "Aria just called. She is staying the night in the guest room. Apparently, Nicole randomly showed up to her and Ezra's apartment after she ran away from the trauma clinic."
My eyes widened. I feel bad because Aria and I haven't been as close as we used to be. Life has just been insane. With Nicole being back, Ezra's time has been consumed and Aria feels neglected. It's a tough situation.
Ali walked out and Jason rubbed my back for a moment. He noticed i've been quiet.
"Everything okay?" He asked.
Is anything really okay?
"No. Just stressed about everything." I shrugged.
He moved closer behind me and massaged my shoulders. "Don't worry too much. Some of these things are just out of your control."
That's the problem.
I heard the front door open and shut. "I'm gonna go see her." I replied and got up. I gave him a quick kiss before heading downstairs.
When Aria saw me, her eyes softened. I gave her a quick hug before Alison was about to lead us into the kitchen. We were abruptly stopped when we saw the game board sitting on a table. Jesus.
"How long has that been here?" Aria asked.
"I don't know." Ali replied and then looked at me. "Is it for me or you?"
"I don't know." I replied. I don't want it to be my turn yet. I'm not ready.
We charged over to it to see two game pieces dancing. It was mine and Ali's. On the screen it looked broken. But it wasn't.
"Is there any chance this thing is broken?" Aria asked.
I shook my head. "It's not broken. It's deciding."
"Well, while it decides, I'm going to sleep. We'll see who it chooses in the morning." Alison muttered. We all nodded and went to our respective rooms.
When I laid down next to Jason, I didn't say a single word. I was utterly terrified.

Morning came and it was still deciding. Ali and I stared at it intently.
Luckily, Jason had to be out this morning so he doesn't have to witness this. We urged him not to go near the board after what happened with Caleb.
Soon, Ali had to go to work and the board stopped moving entirely. This made me nervous.
