tackling an enemy is never easy.
especially when the enemy is faceless and nameless,
threatening to spill every secret the girls have ever had.
and as you know, secrets never stay hidden in rosewood.

WITH EVERYTHING GOING ON, I HAVEN'T REALLY HAD THE TIME TO CONFRONT MY WREN CRISIS OR MY IAN CRISIS. Wren and I have talked...barely since that night in the car so I am pretty sure I know where we stand. I want to fix it with him because I do want him in my life. He's a good guy.
Ian showed up at the memorial and no one has seen him since. I don't know if he's back permanently, but I certainly hope not. I was trying to hide the fact that him being back scares the shit out of me. The girls do not know about the history with him. Bottom line, he is a perv who was more interested in my relationship with Jason than he was with anything. He made all of these weird advances at me when Jason wasn't around.
I didn't have time to think about this now. The girls and I stood with Hanna at her locker. She looked into her mirror and frowned. "I need you guys to be honest with me."
"Sure." I assured her. The rest did the same.
"Is this side of my face fatter than this side?" She asked. Good lord.
We looked closer to see.
"No." All of us replied.
Aria looked out into the hall. "Is that Ian?"
We all looked over to see him. So much for not seeing him.
"Yeah." Emily frowned.
"I hear he's the new field hockey coach. Does Melissa know he's back?" Emily asked Spencer. Great, so he'll be here indefinitely.
"I don't know why she ever broke up with him." Hanna pointed out.
"She didn't. He broke up with her." Spencer clarified.
I stayed silent. Him being back makes me uncomfortable. I just stared from a distance. Unfortunately, my face of disgust gave me away and the girls picked up on it.
"What's wrong, Belles?" Aria asked.
"Nothing." I shrugged, trying to brush it off. When has that ever worked for me?
"Bella." Emily said earnestly.
"Ian gives me the heebie-jeebies. He was friends with Jason when I was with him and he was gross around me. Tried to make advances when Jason wasn't in the room. He kissed me before I had the chance to push him off. He's just repulsing. I hate that he's back." I rambled.
Their eyes widened.
"Bella, I'm so sorry." Hanna let out and rubbed my shoulder.
Before anyone else could say anything, Mona came over to us and handed us envelopes. "Hey! The first one is for my bestie. And one for each of you, my bestie's other friends."
Dear god.
"Oh, uh, what's this?" Aria asked.
"Oh, nothing. Only an invitation to the most awesome birthday party ever. Camp Mona." She said excitedly.
