tackling an enemy is never easy.
especially when the enemy is faceless and nameless,
threatening to spill every secret the girls have ever had.
and as you know, secrets never stay hidden in rosewood.

ARIA HAS NOT LEFT HER BED ALL DAY. She left her phone at Ezra's the other night when I was out with Wren and she got an A text. Ezra saw it and it's safe to say he is pissed. I called the girls to tell them I needed their help getting her out of bed. I didn't go into much detail, but I can always count on them to get someone out of a slump.
When they arrived, we all went upstairs and I pulled the earbud out of her ear. "Wakey wakey."
"What are you doing?" She groaned.
"An intervention." I replied and looked to Emily.
"We brought takeout and rag mags." Emily said and tossed the magazines at Aria.
"But, you cannot have any of those things until you get out of these sweats." Hanna added.
Aria sat up. "Why? What's wrong with these?"
"Nothing. Except they're starting to graft to your skin." Spencer retorted.
"Well, they're comfy." Aria shrugged.
"Yeah, so are mom jeans and platform flip-flops." Hanna replied.
"Plus, how are we gonna help you choose a homecoming dress if you don't try some on?" Emily asked her.
"Oh, that's easy. I'm not going." Aria replied. Over my dead body, she's not.
"What do you mean you're not going? Yes, you are." I said instantly.
"Yeah, you can't just not go." Spencer backed me up.
"What are you doing instead?" Emily asked.
"I don't know, I guess I'll just read these and inhale a gallon of chunky monkey." Aria sighed.
"Hey, look, cutting yourself off from the rest of your life is not gonna help your parents. And besides, they still might work it out." Spencer said. Oh, this has nothing to do with them.
"They're barely speaking to each other." Aria let out.
"People get angry. They blow up. Doesn't mean it's over." Emily said, trying her best.
"Emily, they didn't blow up over their dad missing his anniversary. He slept with one of his students." Hanna snapped. She then looked back to Aria and I, "Sorry."
"I'm just saying. Things can look over on Friday and by Monday, all is forgiven. Some things just take time." Emily replied.
Aria just nodded slightly. "Yeah, maybe."
Spencer took a deep breath and started to drag Aria off the bed. "Okay, so you're coming! Come on!"
"I'll think about it." Aria said, finally.
"Well, if you're not coming, can you at least cast an absentee ballot?" Hanna asked. Hanna is all about getting prom queen. She saw when I scoffed. "What!? I need her vote."
