tackling an enemy is never easy.
especially when the enemy is faceless and nameless,
threatening to spill every secret the girls have ever had.
and as you know, secrets never stay hidden in rosewood.

WE ALL SAT DOWN AT THE APPLEROSE GRILLE FOR DINNER TO DISCUSS THE DAYS EVENTS. Not only did we have a faceless, nameless bitch on our backs, but also the pigs of the Rosewood Police Department.
"Why was Jenna there?" Aria asked.
The elephant in the room. The one thing we could all collectively agree on is the fact that Jenna Marshall and Alison were anything but friends. They loathed each other.
"I guess she's back." Spencer whispered.
"That cop acted like we were suspects or something." I groaned. I get how it looks from the outside. We were Alison's best friends.
"Do you think we looked guilty?" Emily asked.
"Why would we be? We haven't done anything wrong." Aria said. She's right but for some reason, I felt so guilty when he questioned us. I think that's intentional.
Technically, we aren't in the clear. We did blind Jenna. Sure it wasn't us who did it, but we didn't stop Ali.
"Except lie about the Jenna thing." Hanna added.
"We promised we'd never bring up the Jenna thing again, remember? It never happened." Spencer told us. Easy for her to say.
"Have you found a way to forget?" I challenged. I know I haven't.
"I still wake up in the middle of the night." Aria let out.
"Aria, it was an accident." Spencer replied. It was something, that's for sure.
"I don't get it. How does A know something about me that only Alison knew?" Emily asked.
"Alison didn't even know about mine, but somehow A does." I said. I just don't get it.
"Ali knew all of our secrets but we never knew any of hers." Aria pointed out. It was true. She told me some things but never anything of importance.
"I knew some." Spencer spoke.
I looked up and nodded. "So did I."
"Go on." Aria gestured for us to continue.
"Talk." Hanna added.
"I can't."
"You two cannot drop a bomb like that and just clam up." Aria sighed.
"She'd so kill me if I told you." Spencer replied.
"She's dead." Hanna deadpanned.
Spencer and I looked at each other and she gestured for me to say it.
"Ali was seeing someone that summer." I said. We never knew who. Just that she was.
