Thomas stares at me with conflicted orbs, uncertain if I'm rational enough to interrogate the heinous girl "come on, Thomas, let Rose have a stab at the interrogation" Gally chuckles disdainfully, snickering from his intended quip, creasing his brows together, shockingly, Thomas adversely straightens himself, strolling back to his seat, staring upon her vacantly "listen" I feign hospitality towards her, not allowing my glare to display itself, I watch her features contort in confusion "I know you think what you're doing is for the greater good or a means to an end, I know you don't want to help us, but you know what?". In a flash, I unsheathe the scalpel from my back pocket and delve it into the wooden backside of her chair, I smirk sinisterly when she realizes I barely sliced her left ear, glaring into her soul, Thomas rises to his feet protectively, extending a hand out in front of me as a vain attempt in hindering me "Rose, let's be rational here" he warns me "Thomas, you better leave me alone before I give you a small trim off the top too", I watch his features morph into horror, receding away from me, I smirk. "Now, where was I?", I feign a pondering expression, my slender fingers tapping against the handle of the scalpel "oh, right", I yank the blade from the chair, only to delve it into the seat of the chair, once again slicing the Betrayer, only a worse wound displays on her left leg, she yelps out in pain, her wide gaze staring upon me in consternation "I'm only going to ask politely once, just for that thick skull of yours to understand, and if I'm not pleased by your answer, this blade is gonna have a new home in your brain". My threat causes her entire face to drain of blood, I notice how silent the group behind me has become, despite this, she gathers the courage to link with my gaze "I can't, Rose" she informs me "you don't have a shucking choice, you're going to get these shucking chips out from our heads and you're going to help us break into that facility, got it?", clenching her jaw, she straightens herself to be taller, a flash of concern flickers with her gaze, although I'm uncertain, and rather unbothered, if it's for herself or for my strange behavior "alright, I'll do it". Folding my arms, I'm now settled alone at the wooden table, my bitter glare observing Teresa intensely as she removes her blood from the scalpel, preparing for Thomas's procedure to remove his tracker, Frypan, bolstering the gauze on the back of his neck, is settled at a different table, as Brenda, who's settled across from him, fumbles with some maps, reexamining her routes for the plan, Gally, inhaling deeply, strolls over to me with one hand on his hip as the other removes the gauze from his cut, examining the ruby staining the cloth "I bet you she enjoyed that". His mutter floats gently towards me with hesitance, I don't remove my attention from Thomas, I narrow my vision as I watch him inhale deeply through his nose, his broad chest elevating, before relaxing with a heavy sigh, noticing him wince, my hands curl into tense fists, noticing Gally return the gauze to the back of his neck, he shuffles uncertainly towards me "you know" Gally begins, ensuring his tone is dulcet so that his words would be private from the others "I'll make sure we get the Serum", I chuckle morosely "spare me the sentimental klunk, you only care for yourself". Unaffected by my words, Gally flickers his gaze towards the Betrayer "that may be true, but that doesn't mean I won't try to help him, even if it kills me", the edges of my lips tickle with a grin "at least that part sounds relatively pleasing", he sighs exasperatedly, rubbing his temple in vexation "I already apologized, what more do you want from me?" He questions me, allowing a twinge of vulnerability to slither into his tone "I want you to leave me alone" I reply, finally removing my gaze from Thomas towards him, glaring at him with unrelenting wrath. "You're the only reason he's not here anymore, she might've tortured me for six months in ways that are not appropriate to speak out loud, but you're the reason I'm genuinely broken", unable to converse with him any longer, I rise to my feet, strolling towards Thomas, only for him to suddenly shove the Betrayer's hand away, I rush towards him "Thomas, that's not possible" the Betrayer mumbles as I manuever my way towards them, my brows ridge together in confusion, he merely rises to his feet, crudely snatching the gauze away from her hands and turning to stroll away. I watch as she rises to her feet as Thomas strolls towards me, I gaze at him, concerned and addled from his outburst, he doesn't link with my gaze, only inflaming my worry when he flinches as I place a comforting hand upon his forearm "that doesn't make any sense, she should've gotten worse months ago" she frowns at the glare I send her "you don't believe me?", this is more of a statement that a question "and you expect me to believe you?" He turns on his heels to snap at her, gathering my brows in perplexity. I obtain his forearm "Thomas, what's wrong? What did she say?" I question him, incredulous to the meaning behind his livid glare towards her, Newt swiftly limps towards us to assist me, standing in front of Thomas "alright, that's enough", Newt narrows his vision towards her, he glances towards Thomas from over his shoulder "go help with the ammunition", clenching his jaw, Thomas strolls away from us towards Brenda, who's tending to a pistol at the table that displays our sprawled out packs, Newt redirects his glare towards the Betrayer "besides, you still got two more chips to take out".

Author's info- Hello, reader! BOOM! Another great chapter and amazing cliffhanger! My goodness it is getting tense in here. Omay so the next chapter is very important and it connects with something that was brought up back in The Inadvertent book I wrote! It's so satisfying to have everything connect at a certain point! Also, who else is a bit frightened by how much Rose is changing? I mean, you would understand that she's only acting upon the fear of possibly losing Newt and hatred towards Teresa, but most of this was to her own pleasure, this chapter gave me chills, I mean, I love it when she sjows defiance and is a total baddie when it comes to it. But she's scaring me at this point. Anyway, pay close attention because it will only be brought up for a short period of time and won't be brought up again until the end of this book, it will be explained but it's only a fraction of the real story! It is also a clue so pay supper close attention also, there will be temptation following the next chapter so buckle up! I hope you fuys are loving the book! If you are, smash that voting star, share a comment or your critique, and share this book with someone you know, my other book are exploding with popularity at this point and I wish for this book to follow! Make my dreams come true everyone! See you guys in the next chapter! Later, reader!
