Chapter 173: Hawaii Part 2

POV: Kelly Casey-Severide-Remington-Herrmann

We are at the Firehouse and we finally got a call. I was getting bored and making my anxiety go all over the place trying to be nice to the new people, but it was hard.

"Sev, will you just breathe for me." said Matt
"Sorry Case, I can get to work now." I said as I went to help my team, but it's weird .
"Lieutenant, are you good?" asked Gray
"I'm good, just have to get used to you guys." I said as I helped out with the team.

"Captain, is he okay?" asked Jack
"He just had a hard year." said Matt
"I'm good, I just need a minute." I said
"Always My Sev and Forever Your Case." said Matt as he gave me his hand.
"Always My Case and Forever Your Sev." I said as I gave him a tap on his shoulder.
"Get back to work." said Matt
"Sir yes Sir." I said as I went to help out.

Once we were done with the call we went back to the Firehouse and Matt and I took a shower. Once we were done we went to our office. I then fell asleep on Matt's shoulder.

"Hey Captain, can we talk?" I heard someone ask as they came into our office.
"Just don't be too loud, Severide is sleeping." said Matt as ran his fingers in my hair.
"I can't sleep." I said
"How do you two work together as a married couple?" asked Jack as I sat up.

"It is hard, especially when I get mad at him and we fight. His adoptive dad, godfather, brother, our brother-in-law and his family get mad at me. His father and godfather have punched me a couple of times." said Matt
"I have gotten punched by our brother-in-laws on your side." I said

"Firehouse 120, Hazmat Unit, Industrial accident." said the alarm and we got up and went on the call. Once we got there we got to work getting everyone out.

POV: Matt Casey-Severide-Remington

"Captain, what is the plan?" asked Owen
"Squad get the gas shut down. Truck, get people out. Ambo, get ready victims. Engine get water just in case." I said
"Captain it's going to go." said Owen
"I'm going to help Severide." I said as I went up the stairs to get to my husband and best friend. Once I got up to the roof I saw him struggling with the shut off valve.

"Severide." I said
"I almost got it!" said Kelly
"We gotta go." I said
"I'm not leaving. Till I get this shut!" said Kelly I take off my mask and go help him.
"Damn it." said Kelly as we got it closed I got on my radio.

"Chief, I found Severide. We slowed the gas to buy some time, but the valve won't stay closed. We need to hold it manually. Should be able to keep it at bay long enough to get everyone out." I said
"Don't press your luck. You see anything off, you bail, understand." said Jones
"Copy Chief." I said

"If we live through this I can't tell if you'll get a reprimand or another commendation." I said
"I turned it down." said Kelly
"You're joking, right? I asked
"It was just something that Grissom was pushing. Tried to use it as a way to toss me up the ladder." said Kelly
"I suggested the commendation." I said
"So you?" asked Kelly
"Yeah!" I said

"Casey-Severide, we're all clear. Get out of there now." said Jones"
"Copy Chief." I said
"So what now? Soon as we leave this thing it's gonna blow." said Kelly
"How many steps do you think it is to the edge of the building?" I asked
"To do what? Jump?" asked Kelly
"Sure. We let go, make a break for it, jump into the water. Come on, get ready. Count of three " I said

"This is insane." said Kelly
"Let's go! 1...2..." I said
"Damn it, Casey." said Kelly
"3." I said as we jumped into the water right as the explosion happened. We then landed in the water and I came up.

Once I do I don't see Kelly.
"Kelly, where are you?" I asked as the rest of the Firehouse came to us and Tosh said she found him he was just laying there. She then said she would get harassed and get him.
