Chapter 81!

Hello Guys!!! There's so much to tell about the story and changes, but I will update it in the information part shortly, until then do give it a read.!

Karan was sitting in his study with a pile of files and a laptop. He was so stuck in work that he had noticed the longing looks from Teju all the while during the dinner. He was busy reading files and looking for errors when there was a knock & he looked up to see it was sleepy Teju,

Karan: What's wrong Sweety?

She lazily walked up towards him and sat beside him when he pulled her closer,

Karan: Nightmares?

She nodded & he sighed pulling her closer,

Karan: Come on, let me get you to bed & I will stay with you.

She shook her head and snuggled into him while he shifted her onto his lap and kept stroking her back and, soon she was asleep. When he tried to set her on the sofa she held him tightly. He sat with her in his lap and started working on his files.

When he finished his work and looked up to check the time, he was shocked to find it was half past four in the early morning. He tried to sit and looked towards Teju, but she was asleep. Thankfully she didn't wake up again due to the nightmare & he made a mental note to ask her about it later. He put his files aside & adjusted his body a little & stood up, lifting her in his arms. He moved to his room and placed her on the bed, due to the loss of warmth, Teju immediately whimpered,

Karan immediately patted her,

Karan: she, I am here, baby.!

He instantly joined her in the bed & she moved to him in a second while he smiled at her,

Karan: Naughty baby, you made sure to ignore me but forgot that you can't sleep without me.

He kissed her forehead letting his lips stay there for a while, and started speaking,

Karan: "You know, I like it when you get jealous, and I love watching your face show a myriad of emotions all at once. You are precious, sweetie & I can't allow my possessiveness and jealousy to overpower you. It's too difficult to stay away from you. My trust issues aren't allowing me to take a step forward & I don't want you to suffer with and because of me. You deserve the world, while I am anything but the person you'd want to end up with."

He felt a different kind of pain when he imagined someone making her laugh, someone patting her to sleep like he was doing but the urge to protect her was more than the pain of staying away from her, To give a place to her in his heart is never good to her,

Karan: You are precious to me baby & I vouch to protect you always.

Teju stirred in sleep and opened her eyes slowly to notice it was all pitch black in the room, the covered windows weren't helping either. When she tried to get up she noticed the hold on her, she looked at him and sighed, she tried to come out of his hold & when succeeded she immediately placed a pillow near him and ruffled his hair while placing a kiss his forehead,

Teju: Why do I always look for you when I have that nightmare like you'd save me from him, I know I had no right to ignore you regarding that girl, but I lose my senses and control when it's about you.! I am no more angry at you now, all I need is to have a little fun with you sunny & please don't scold me later.

She kissed his forehead and went to freshen up.

It was noon already & he was still asleep, Teju didn't disturb him, she just cooked lunch for both of them & worked on her designs for some time, after a while she heard his voice and raised her face to look at him, he was speaking to someone on the phone and went to the kitchen, she knew that he had gone to make his tea, she continued her work.
