Chapter 127 - Lets Get Out Of Here

Leah's P.O.V

I lean against the kitchen doorway, peering into the living area at a sight I have missed so much. Although, some things have slightly changed, particularly Archie, who instead of either been cradled in Ellies arms or laid on a mat, only able to wave his arms and legs about, I'm now watching him giggling away as he crawls away from Ellie at lighting speed as she chases him around the room. My beaming smile and the flutters in my stomach say it all, as Ellie catches him, spins on her back and holds him up in the air...their infectious laughs filling the full house, making me laugh at the sight of them. The sound of me, making them both look in my direction, Ellie still holding Archie in up in the air, her arms out stretched

"Uh Oh" Ellie looks at Archie and his little attempt of Uh Oh coming out his mouth melts my heart "Go get Mummy" Ellie says, planting a kiss on Archies cheek as she puts him back to the floor

"Good Morning baby boy" I lift Archie up into my arms, giving him a big squeeze "I can see you've had your breakfast, it's all over your face"

I look over at Ellie who is still laid on the floor propping her head up with her arm, looking at both Archie and I.

"Have you had any?" I ask

"Kidding aren't you. He's had me crawling about chasing him everywhere"

"Would you like some?" I smile

"Yes...but" Ellie stands up "I'll do it" she starts walking over to us

"I can do it"

Ellie starts laughing "I'll do it...Mummy will burn the kitchen down won't she" Ellie laughs as she blows a raspberries on Archies neck, his giggle once again filling the room, I also notice Ellie's hand, gently placed at the bottom of my back

"You seem a lot better today baby" I scrunch my nose up to Archie, gently bopping him up and down

"He does" Ellie smiles "How did you sleep?" She asks, she continues to look at Archie but I can see the smile on her face

"Hmm, could have done with more room" I too decide to focus on Archie instead of Ellie

"That's not very nice is it little legs" Ellie coos over Archie "Because when you" she gently taps his nose "Woke me up this morning, guess who was squished into me at my side of the bed?" She says with a playful shocked face which makes me laugh

"Ma-maaaa-ma" Archie squeals, right on que

"Yes, exactly. Mummy was wasn't she" Ellie raises an eyebrow and smirks at me, a shy smile spreading across my face as she gently squeezes my hip before breaking the contact "Right...breakfast. Big day today" she smiles

"Is it?"

"Mmhmm"

Ellie and I both headed to Colney after breakfast, separately, in our own cars, Ellie also left before me, as neither of us particularly wanted to deal with any potential questions from my Mum once she arrived to look after Archie. It was nice, having breakfast with her and having her around the house this morning, seeing them both honestly took me right back to before this nightmare. I want it back. I want her back. Despite our kiss last night, nether of us said much about it, it was clear though how slightly shy we were both about it, as we both kept catching each others eyes and laughing, but not actually saying anything about it. You wouldn't think we'd previously been together for years and have a child together the way we acted.

Ellies P.O.V

I did not expect what happened last night to happen. But do I regret it? No, not at all. Been back in our bed, with Leah felt...amazing but also...natural. When I woke up and felt her next to me, I didn't think twice about wrapping my arms around her and cuddling her. It was nice to feel close to her. It's been so long. I don't really know what's going to happen from here but baby steps I suppose.
