Part 2

"Ahhh. I'm beat from that last midterm exam!" Ike cried in relief as he laid his tired and overused brain on the table to rest.

"Oh come on Kanji-kun. It wasn't that bad. We were much better prepared this time thanks to Ayanokouji-kun, Hirata-kun and Yukimura-kun. Even Horikita-san joined in, too." Shinohara replied to her average-knowledge boyfriend.

It was Wednesday, the final day of the midterms. As apparent from Ike and Shinohara's conversation, Class B were knackered from difficult midterms thrown their way. However, as the latter girl mentioned, the study sessions set up by Kiyotaka and the other tutors had made the exams easier than they believed. It wouldn't be surprising if Class B received high grades in every single subject...

"Yeah... I guess. Hey Sudou! How'd you do?"

"Um... I think I'll manage..."

...At least that's what Kiyotaka hoped for.

"Congratulations on completing your midterms. The results will be released tomorrow at the end of school. I expect to see great results from all of you," Chabashira explained while packing up her belongings. "You are all free to do whatever you want for the rest of the day. Classes return to normal from tomorrow."

As she was about to leave the classroom however, she stopped and turned back around to face her students.

"Oh. Before I forget. On Friday, classes will be cut short in the afternoon in order to host a panel for the student council elections. The panel will be used for the candidates to introduce themselves, their plans, debate with each other and even answer questions from all of you. It is a great opportunity to learn more about the candidates and see who to vote for in the end... Though I don't think it matters too much considering who is running."

Chabashira took one glance towards Kiyotaka, which didn't go unnoticed by everyone in the classroom.

"I hope you have a speech prepared for that day, Ayanokouji. You'll need it to garner votes from the other classes and years," She finished before completely leaving, heading who knew where.

Of course, Kiyotaka was prepared to give a speech. At least that was what he told himself. Nanase had already told him this was an extremely important detail in order to grab the attention of the wider student body.

However, what he was probably not prepared for was what would become the debate and questioning sections of the panel. No one could be 100% prepared for the latter, not even politicians. And with the debate, preparation wasn't even possible for that. Kiyotaka sighed as he began to picture the oncoming onslaught he was likely going to face.

"Kiyotaka-kun?"

Kiyotaka was brought out of his imagination when he heard his name. Hirata, flanked by Horikita, Mei-Yu and Yukimura. The four of them looked at Kiyotaka worryingly as if thinking he had some sort of nightmare during class. It was only then Kiyotaka realised his fists were clenched tighter than normal.
