Wednesday arrived, 3 days left until the Cultural Festival on Saturday. Today was the day for the school's cultural festival trial run sponsored by the Student Council.
When lunch break ended, each class prepared to take their designated locations. The trial run was set to run for five hours, around half of what full Saturday would be. A full 9 hour shift as a trial run would be too much for the students since the attendees would be the students themselves. The point of the trial run was to allow classes to test their concepts and make refinements before the official day.
Class B resided in the great hall with their maid café concept. The large floor was sprinkled with tables and chairs, mostly surrounding the left and middle sides of the great hall. There was a gap left in the middle where the stage for the KiyoKei band would be built from tomorrow onwards. And as for the right side, these were reserved for the cooking teams, the arcade for kids and the area where photos with the maids would be taken.
Overlooking this area from the front door was Kiyotaka, surrounded by Kei, Horikita, Hirata and Sotomura surprisingly. The five of them watched as Class B finished their preparations for the trial run, which was to say the great hall was as decorated as possible, but not to the level for Saturday. This was only a practice after all.
"Yes. Okay, I'll let Kiyotaka know." Kei said as she put her phone down and turned to her boyfriend. "Ichinose-san says that everyone is pretty much prepared for the practice run, so we'll begin now."
"Understood. Then you three know your roles for today and Saturday, correct?" Kiyotaka replied as he turned to Hirata, Horikita and Sotomura.
The three of them nodded with determined eyes. Each person had a dedicated important role for both today's practice run and Saturday's proper Cultural Festival. Sotomura, the odd one out in the group, was tasked with overseeing the maid cafe and its systems as a whole. Being the one with the most experience, otaku wise, he was perfect for this role. However, he still had one extra job of being the one to take the photos of the customers and the maids on the day of service, so he wasn't completely administrative.
Horikita and Hirata on the other hand were leaders for their respective teams. Horikita was leading the kitchen team, overseeing their tasks and helping the team in the kitchen with the meals and prep work. She would still mostly have the same role as every other kitchen member, but being the "head chef" meant she had more power than others. Hirata meanwhile was the leader for the maids and butlers. Out of everyone in the group, he was the most trusted to lead this team. Of course, if Kushida was still here, she actually would have been perfect, but Hirata was the only other one who could take that role.
Kiyotaka and Kei, meanwhile, were the leaders for their band performing. They wouldn't be performing all their songs today, to save it as a surprise for Saturday. There was also the bet with Ryuuen, which meant revealing their cards now could play to their disadvantage. However, that didn't mean they didn't intend to perform at least one song today. The band needed to get used to performing in front of people again after all.
