Monday November 9th arrived, and as Kiyotaka had realised earlier last week, the summer weather had all but disappeared to be replaced by the chilly fall wind. When he thought about it, that meant there wasn't too much time left until the Christmas Holidays began. Time had flown much further than he expected.
Since the start of the new Student Council, things had been progressing well. As the trial against Nagumo was to be on indefinite hold until at least after the cultural festival, the files that had been confiscated for investigation were returned back to the council. And so their first meeting on Friday had gone ahead following the original traditions of the council.
Though it had only been a little under a week since the new council started, the members performed their duties both during the meeting and council hours exceptionally well. Even Ryuuen and Sakayanagi's officers of the Disciplinary Committee already began patrolling the school grounds and dealt with two incidents already. That meant serious business.
While Kiyotaka had been reflecting about the Student Council, the bell, indicating the start of homeroom, rang. Just mere seconds later, Chabashira Sae yanked the door open and entered the classroom.
"Good morning. Everyone here?" she asked.
Hearing their teacher's call, Class 2B ceased their conversations and faced forward. Eyes and ears switched their focus from best friends and conversations on what they did over the weekend to a learning mindset. The discipline each student showed was paramount to the evaluation of their class by the school.
Seeing her students mature day by day, Chabashira nodded deeply in admiration. Her smile was, for lack of a better term, warm to the touch.
"I must apologise for what is about to come," she began, startling a few of her students. "I understand you have already done quite a bit with your plans for the Cultural Festival, but I have some additional notes to explain now. Before that, I will show you an overview of the Cultural Festival as a refresher for anyone who needs to check it over."
Cultural Festival Overview
Each second-year class will be given 5,000 Private Points per student to be used solely for festival preparations. Students will be allowed to spend those available points freely. First-year students will be provided with 5,500 points each for start-up costs, and third-year students will be provided with 4,500 points.
Additional funding may be provided for community service activities, such as student council activities, contributions via club activities, and so on. Further details will be announced to each class after the rules have been finalised.
Start-up funds and additional funds will not be reflected in final sales totals. Any funds that are not used must be returned in the end.
100 Class Points will be awarded to classes in first through fourth place.
