The live performance with Ryuuen and Shiina was going really well. Visitors, customers, everyone was flowing into the cafe and surrounding the stage. Whether they were purchasing the snacks served by the traditional maids or purchasing the Ryuuen-Shiina album or just getting a much better spot to watch the pair perform, sales for Class C were definitely quite high for Class C just for this cafe alone.
That being said, the performances Ryuuen and Shiina were performing mostly consisted of Ryuuen leading the songs with his rapping. As his next single—That's Not Me—came to an end, both he and Shiina knew it was time to switch things up.
"I know what you all thinkin'! What about Shiina here? Where's her single? Where's her spotlight? Well, worry no more. Let's take it away, Shiina!"
The piano created a heartfelt atmosphere, one completely different from the upbeat themes compared to Ryuuen's previous tracks. The suspense from the audience was high, not knowing what to expect from the pair.
Ryuuen:"We can only move forward Even in the darkest, darkest, darkest time"
Hiyori:"I keep on rereading the last phase of our days I'm not sure how I feel anymore I think I'm homesick but I don't know (Ryuuen: I don't know) How to go back to a place that's gone"
Shiina had her eyes closed the entire time her first verse began. It was like she was afraid of seeing the audience's reaction to her voice, something which she didn't need to worry about since she had already been singing during Ryuuen's songs. But she soon came to that realisation and opened her eyes as soon as she entered the pre-chorus.
Everyone wore expressions of surprise, interest, curiosity. Loads of emotions were present, but none of them were terrible. If one were to describe the audience right now with a simile, it was like the entire audience were entranced by a spell casted by a siren. But unlike the historical lore of sirens being evil, being under Shiina's spell was actually good and the audience willingly let themselves be taken from their humble abode.
Hiyori:"With the change of winds My heart fell and I can't find it
Feeling empty Spending days and nights of silence 'Cause no words can explain how I feel In my mind, and heart Oh, I don't know what I am but I miss myself 'Cause she's not here anymore How can I move on? Please tell me"
Ryuuen: "In the end you learn How to walk alone and be strong (Hiyori: lost without you) But the little things like thе scent of his cologne Is a painful remindеr that he's gone"
