Monday next week came. Including today, only 5 days remained until the official Cultural Festival on Saturday. Preparations had been going well for Class B and all the other classes across the school.
At the same time, two days had passed since the announcement of a trial run being subsidised by the Student Council. Even though only two days passed, the Student Council received applications and approvals from every class. It seemed everyone was willing to participate and most classes submitted their proposals as well as a budget, which would be reviewed by Shiina and Haruka today.
When final homeroom ended and Chabashira left the classroom, Haruka approached Kiyotaka. He briefly nodded at her, knowing exactly why she was approaching. At the same time, Horikita also approached.
"Hey Kiyopon. I know you left the funds applications and approvals with me and Shiina-san. But I think it still might be difficult with just the two of us doing it all. Horikita-san and Ichinose-san have offered to help, but I think you should attend as well, just in case."
It was as he thought. Both girls looked at him pleadingly. It wasn't exactly that the job was hard for them, having Horikita help them was going to be a huge benefit. Ichinose also attending to help was more than enough for them to handle all the applications, approvals and planning for Wednesday's event. Kiyotaka wouldn't be needed for that.
No, what he was actually needed for was to mediate, to ensure no arguments would build due to the disagreements the two girls had that still hadn't been resolved yet. Ichinose and Shiina should have enough to help mediate, but as two students from another class who didn't know why it existed or were even involved, it would only cause more issues when trying to mediate.
Kiyotaka brought out his phone, checking it as he received a message. It was rude to check it in front of the two girls since he hadn't answered their request. But he had texted someone earlier during lunchtime and was waiting for their response, and it seemed they only replied now. He quickly read the message before putting his phone down and facing the two girls again.
"Hey! Hold it!" Kei jumped in. "If you three are going to the Student Council room to do the applications, let me go as well. All four of us are in the Student Council, so we may as well all go together. An extra hand would probably work too, right?"
Haruka and Horikita, reluctantly, glanced at each other. Both knew Kei wasn't that good with mathematics and budgeting plans, but since she was offering to help, they didn't really want to decline her. After all, she was a Student Council member like them as she said.
At any rate, they agreed and the four Class B students left to traverse to the Student Council room on the third floor. Heading there as soon as possible meant that they'd be able to get started quickly. The trek wasn't that long, and in as little as three minutes, they arrived at the Student Council room and found Shiina and Ichinose already there.
