Part 1

When the clock hit 9am, a chime rang out in the great hall. However, the chime wasn't specific to the great hall but to the entire school campus. An announcement was made to all of the students throughout the school: the guests had entered through the main gate and the Cultural Festival was officially beginning.

Kiyotaka stretched his fingers, readying them for the next seven to eight hours of playing. However, he overheard a conversation between the nearby Shinohara and Ike, who were standing shoulder-to-shoulder and talking loudly.

"Oh jeez," Shinohara said. "I'm so nervous..."

"Yeah, minus the sports festival where people were watching us, this is the first time we've had any contact with people outside the school since we started here," replied Ike.

As he thought about it, Kiyotaka realised that the pair were correct, at least for students that weren't him. Being in a closed off environment for so long meant that they had gotten used to not seeing others that weren't students, teachers or Keyaki Mall staff. That only made Kiyotaka wonder how they would fair if they were in the White Room instead of this school, but he supposed that was an unfair thought.

Kiyotaka also looked around the maid cafe and the many different teams spread across the building. There was the team of maids led by Mei-Yu and Ichihashi who were currently discussing service delivery and shift patterns. They were all dressed accordingly and glittered in the room with their outfits, handcrafted by Inogashira and the original sewing team. Next to them were the group of butlers led by Hirata and Sotomura standing nearby. Similarly to the maids, the boys also stood out with their butler outfits that had been rented out to save cash. Then there was the cooking team who were getting a team lecture by Horikita on the recipes and equipment again. After that was the security team consisting of Sudou, Onodera, Maezono and Kouenji who surprisingly arrived on time.

Finally, there was the group Kiyotaka was in—the KiyoKei band. Kiyotaka stood next to Akito, both wearing their own butler outfits that differed from the rest of the boys. If one were to picture how different they were, the boys under Hirata looked more like waiters than butlers, with their grey vests as opposed to black ones. In addition to that, the boys under Hirata looked more like they were wearing suits. Kiyotaka and Akito differed because their butler suits were not only all black, but their blazers ran down further to their knees in style. The two of them looked like proper butlers who were worthy of serving rich families in mansions. Kiyotaka was sure Matsuo would be proud of what he was wearing.

The girls, on the other hand—who were currently discussing their plans for the songs—wore very custom maid outfits that complimented their styles and were flashier than the basic maid team. For example, Mori's maid outfit adorned purple rather than black which somehow seemed to compliment her style way more than the black one could have. And then there was Matsushita's maid outfit that was actually more like a maid dress as her bare legs were not visible under the long skirt. These were just two examples, but each of their outfits were customised on behalf of Inogashira to allow them to stand out when performing.
