Ardeth Bay x (Evee & Johnathan's Sister) Reader Part 2

(Y/n's Pov)

I shook my head as me and Evee jogged to the sarcophagus, Bella jumping out when we got closer.
Upon seeing visible struggle, Evee and I was both internally praying that Jonathan didn't cause too much damage from basically wrestling with the mummy.
I then said softly as Bella walked to me, purring as she rubbed against my leg while me and Evee watched Johnathan hold the mummy back by its arms with his eyes closed.
"I should have known".
Johnathan then said, eyes still closed.
"Y/n! Call off the beast you call a cat"!

Evee then said, tapping Johnathan on the forehead and then pulling him to sit up, scolding our older brother as I picked up Bella.
"Have you no respect for the dead!?
Bella is already out of the sarcophagus, now get your hands off the mummy and get out of there".
Johnathan quickly peaked one eye and saw no cat in the sarcophagus with him, just the desiccated corpse.
I gave a quick look over the mummy and sighed with relief as I pet Bella.
'Thank the Pharaoh's for small favors, Johnathan didn't damage the mummy".
Johnathan dusted himself off and he said looking at me, and then Bella, pointing at her as he straightened out his jacket.
"Of course I have respect for the dead, but sometimes I rather like to join the.
(Jonathan then caught sight of Bella and shivered with fear, killing the laughter bubbling up in his throat.)
But Who teaches their cat to scare people to death"?
Evee then said, exercising the last of the shock in her system (not meaning a word and Jonathan and I knew it; Evee only said things like this when she's upset.)
"Well I wish you would join them before you ruin mine and Y/n's career the way you ruined yours"!
Bella hissed and Johnathan jumped back, staring wide eyed at the feline as I spoke, narrowing my eye at my brother.
"And as for your previous statement, I didn't teach Bella to scare people to death.
(Bella sat proudly as I rubbed her upper sternum  while she purred, closing her eyes and leaning into me.)
Her ancestors have protected and guarded mummies from tomb raiders and desecrators for generations, it's innately in her DNA
And secondly, what the hell were you doing hiding in the sarcophagus Johnathan?
You nearly scared me and Evee out of our wits"

Johnathan slightly looked up and said, holding his arms out with a smile
"Can't a big brother visit his two baby sisters,
(Bella meowed as me and Evee just stared at him unimpressed and Johnathan quickly added.)
And the little monster while he's in town"?
I then said as we all decided to sit on the stepped podium the sarcophagus was placed on in the exhibit as Bella growled at Johnathan for calling her a monster.
"You could, but because we're your sisters, we know better.
You always have an angle up your sleeves".
I then added, tilting my head, stopping Jonathan's protest in its tracks after he scoffed while I scooted closer to Evee.
"Normally you'ed say 'My dear sweat baby sisters, I'll have you know that my career is on a high note' then you notice the level of our frazzled nerves and ask why Evee is upset".
Johnathan then looked at Evee, who held her head in her hands and then looked at me.
I nodded when I saw the question in his gaze.
Johnathan then asked, genuine concern in his voice.
"Evee"?

Evee then said, wiping the tears that escaped from her eyes off her cheeks.
"The Cambridge scholars turn down my application again,
(I rubbed Evee's back and Bella began rubbing into Evelyn's upper sternum, purring to her heart's content. Evee lightly petted Bella's for a short period before placing her hand back in her lap.
Johnathan's eyes softened as he placed a hand on Evee's free arm.
Evee then looked at me and said, softly smiling.)
But Y/n basically saved me from falling off the ladder and creating a mess in the Library, so I feel slightly better than when I was rejected the first time".

I then said, the memories of the messes Ever caused in the past before I came to work here played in the back of my mind.
"Hey, what do I always tell you Evee?
(Evee and Jonathan repeated after me.)
If they don't see how much potential you possess then it's their loss.
(I nodded and continued on my own, bringing Evee closer into my embrace.)
Your time to shine will come sis, I just know it".
Evee nodded and hugged me back, Jonathan hugged Evee from behind and for a moment there was piece, our family of four together and stronger than ever.
'Mom and dad would be so proud we are still together as a family'.
Jonathan then added as we slightly rocked from side to side.
"Plus you'll always have me, Y/n and the little beast old mum".
Bella meowed and placed a paw on Evee's hand.
