Kaname Kuran x (Reality Resident) Reader Part 5

(Y/n's Pov)

After I called out to Kaien, I closed the door and quickly secured the towel I had wrapped around my body.
When the sound of footsteps reached my ears, I cracked the door open and reached my left hand out as I said to Kaien as he handed me the hair towel.
"Thanks".

The voice that answered me, while I pulled my hand back and closed the door and put my wet hair in the hair towel, was not Kaien; but the fact it wasn't my foster father wasn't what had my heart racing (first from shock and then from the feelings I get whenever Kaname's around me).
"Any time Y/n".
I moved to take hold of the doorknob while keeping the towel on my body, opening the bathroom door enough to peek my head out as the sound of blowing wind greeted me.
I said softly as I looked both directions of the hallway.
"Kaname..."
I closed my eyes and sighed, hanging my Head.
'What did you expect you silly girl? You're not even supposed to be liking him for two very important reasons.
Why would he, a vampire, like you back when you hunt his kind for a living?
He was probably just here in the headmasters personal quarters because he needed to talk to him.
(I slowly opened my eyes, looking at the floor below me to see the hardwood floor darken where the water droplets had fallen from my wet hair and expecting to find the floor below in front of me empty).
Nothing-.
(My eyes widened when I caught sight of the little package I saw was still there after I quickly closed my eyes again and then reopened them.
There was also a piece of paper, with my name on it, that moved beside it thanks to the slight gust of wind I created when opening the door more to reach out and grab both items.)
What is that'?

I moved to sit close to the tub, inside the bathroom with the door was still cracked open.
My name was written in elegant cursive, and in my favorite color (blue), take my attention to the detail that went into every letter as a warmth seemed to spread across my midsection.

I looked over the piece of paper and saw it was folded too, so I opened it.
What was written made the warmth in my chest spread far deeper than my heart as I held the pouch with my free hand.

'Dear Y/n,

I saw this in the market and it made me think of you; I know it may be a bit early, but, happy birthday my beautiful Hunterss.
Though you may deny it, but deep down, you feel the same way about me as I do about you.
And I'll wait for you, for however long it takes.
Love, yours forever and eternally, Kaname Kuran.

P.s. It's always been You'.

I folded the note back up and then set it on the nearest dry tile.
Silence filling the space, accompanied by my rapidly beating heart as I pulled out a necklace that reminded me of Ursula's, the sea witch from my universes Disney movie series, necklace.
I let the cold of the golden metal shell ground me as I said softly, staring into the empty space of the bathroom as if it had all the answers.
"What am I going to do".

Yeah, I was in deep sh**, really deep sh**.

*30 minutes Later*

(Zero's Pov)

I awoke to the sound of the rain, along with a cool breath blowing the smell of the rain waters due into the room.
My sense's were immediately on alert and I was about to stand up from the bean bag chair I fell asleep in.
But Y/n's calm words broke my terror and need to protect her against an unseen threat as she placed her hands on my shoulders.
"Wow Zero,
(I looked to my side and relaxed, Y/n smiled at me before siting in her chair and lightly laughed after patting my shoulder.)
It's okay, it's just us in here".
I rubbed my eyes and asked as I partially succeeded in getting most of the exhaustion out of my system.
"What time is it"?

I was done rubbing my eyes in time to see Y/n look at her watch and she then said.
"Still morning, about 4:30".
I took a breath and asked, noticing her hair was wet.
"Did you go outside and do another patrol"?
Y/n shock her head and said, standing up, that's when I noticed she was in her pj's.
"No, I went to take a shower before woke you up, I planned to wake you so you can get something to eat, then shower and then get back to getting some more sleep.
(Y/n playfully smiled.)
but you beat me to the punch by jumping awake like I was an axe murderer".
I nodded and said, lightly laughing while relaxing into my bean bag chair for a bit before deciding to get up.
"Sorry, I thought a vampire snuck in because the window was open and I smelled the rain.
My senses just fired up so I could get to you in time to save you In case you were asleep".
Y/n softly smiled and said, ruffling my hair.
"You don't need to apologize brother, and as for why the window is open, there's an easy explanation.
(Y/n went to crawl into her bed)
I opened it so we could have a bit of fresh air, it was getting kind of stuffy and warm in here, we'll have to let dad know the dorm ac is busted again".
I nodded, taking a breath, smelling the slightly musty/warm smell in the room.
' N/n's right, if she didn't crack the window open, this would be to unbearable to sleep in'.
