The door handle jiggled, making Kagami's breath catch in his throat.  He stood up, glancing back at Aomine, "That's probably Alex."

Kagami didn't wait for the door to open.  He went up to it and opened the door himself, pulling the key right out of Alex's hand.  Alex stared at him for a moment before smiling and rushing up to throw her arms around him.  Kagami took a couple steps back but she still caught him.  "You're here before me?  What a surprise, Taiga!"

Kagami pulled back and out of her arms.  He looked back at Aomine, who was completely scowling.  Kagami had to say he was a little relieved to see Aomine with that reaction.  Anything less and he would've thought Aomine wasn't real.  He swallowed, "Aomine, this is Alex."  He looked to Alex and gestured at Aomine, "Alex, this is Aomine, my boyfriend."

Alex had started across the room, her hand outstretched to Aomine until Kagami said boyfriend.  She looked down at Aomine, hands on her hips, "So you're the demanding boyfriend?"  She folded her arms in front of her chest, "Stop calling Taiga a slut and a whore."

Kagami's jaw dropped.  He seriously wanted to walk right out of his apartment right then.  Aomine stood up, that angry expression back on his face.  He stared down Alex, "I never called him a whore.  What does it matter to you anyways?"

"I have always protected Taiga.  If you hurt him, you'll have me to answer to," Alex stood her ground.  Aomine smirked, but Kagami knew she always made good on her threats.  She was a lot tougher than she looked.  Alex leaned a little closer, inspecting Aomine, "Are you a junkie?  Because Taiga doesn't need another one of those in his life."

"Another one?"  Aomine's tone raised, he was near the point of yelling now, "Who the hell have you been doing, Kagami?"

Kagami slumped against the doorframe, his face in his hands.  Alex hadn't talked to Aomine for five minutes and she was already giving away all his secrets.  Kagami took a long breath, slowly lifting his face from his hands.  "I just brought Aomine here because I wanted him to meet you.  Can we not talk about any of this right now?"

"No."  Aomine stepped around Alex, walking right up to Kagami, "I want to know why you're telling this woman details about our personal lives."

Kagami knew he should be strong.  He should stand up and just say something to Aomine.  But he shrunk against the wall, his gaze falling from Aomine.  He swallowed, he didn't know what to say.  Finally, he stood up, taking his keys in his hand and opened the front door, "I have to work."  He closed the door behind him, leaving Aomine and Alex alone.  He didn't know what would happen, all he knew was that he needed to get away.

He couldn't go back to the cafe, they would be closing soon.  He pulled out his phone, texting Himuro, "Did you still need more pictures for the upcoming issue?"

Himuro's response was fairly quick, "Yes."

Kagami nodded to himself, "I'm on my way to the studio."
