You arrived at the station with the boys. You saw Connor come over to you. You smiled at him as he walked over.

"Miss (L/n), I was curious if you would tell me about yourself." He said.

"Why's that?" You asked.

"I've learned a good amount about Lieutenant Anderson. I figured it would be of my best interest to know more about you as well." He said. You nodded.

"Sure!" You said. You walked along with him into the station as you started to talk. "I live with 7 other people right now. They're all really nice. I was at the top of my class at the academy. I'm basically the same status as Hank. Um..let's see....I'm good with computers and stuff, I guess. I like the color (f/c). If I could have anything as a pet, it would probably be a (f/a). And...that's about it." You said.

"What about family relations?" He asked. You paused for a moment. A family? What should I say?

"Um, I'm...I'm an orphan." You said. That really wasn't a lie. You had no parents. He seemed to understand that might not have been the best question to ask.

"Oh. My apologies." Connor said.

"No, it's not your fault." You said, giving him a reassuring smile. He smiled a little, relieved that you weren't upset with him. You liked his smile. It was sweet and cute. It was nice to see him smile. He was clearly a more serious character after all.

"It's nice to know that about you (Y/n)." He said. You smiled. "May I ask you another question?"

"Sure."

"Why do you live with seven people?" Connor asked.

"Well...they took me in when no place to go. You should meet them! I bet you and Oreon would get along! But if Claira says she has to go shopping, run." You said, laughing at you own joke afterword.

"I don't understand why I would have to run if she went shopping." He said.

"When you meet her, you'll see why." You said. You both walked in silence for a bit until he spoke up again.

"You have a nice laugh." You looked at him, stunned.

"What?" You could've sworn you saw a tiny blush on his face.

"Your laugh. It's nice." He repeated. You smiled, trying your hardest not to blush.

"T-thanks." You stuttered. Crap! I stuttered! I'm such an idiot! You thought.

"I look forward to working with you, (Y/n)." Connor said. You smiled up at him.

"You too, Connor." He smiled a little at you. You hoped you could get him to be your friend. He really did seem like a nice guy at heart.

You both soon caught up with Hank and the three of you went to interrogate Jax. Hank went in first. He tried to get Jax to say something, but Jax only looked up to glare at him every so often. Hank came back and Connor offered to question him. You were relieved Hank let him do it instead. If you did it, that would be bad. You watched as Connor went in to question him. You prayed Jax wouldn't give anything away.

Connor's POV

I sat down. He glanced up at me with a cold glare. I knew this would take some persuading. I started with the reason why he killed him.

"From the evidence we gathered it seems you weren't the only android in the house. Is that true?" He rolled his eyes.

"Yeah. So what?" He said.

"Is that the reason you attacked him?" I asked.

"Yes. Even though I wanted to put a knife through his skull for weeks." He muttered the last bit.

"Why exactly did you want to kill him before he attacked the other android?"

"Because he treated her like dirt. But I'm not the one you should be asking about that. You are truly clueless." He said, leaning back with his arms behind his head like he didn't care about anything.

"What are you implying?" I asked.

"I'm saying you have no idea what's really going on. But hey, it's not my place to give her secret." He said.

"Who's secret?"

"Not telling." He replied plainly. "I wanna see how long it takes for you to figure it out." He said with a grin.

"Do you know what happened to the other android?" I asked. He let out a disbelieving laugh.

"Really? You expect me to answer that?" He said, his tone making it sound like he thought it was the dumbest question he'd ever heard.

"Why not?" I asked.

"Because...I thought about it and I guess we're even now. It's not my place to bother in her life. It's clear she's chosen her path." He said.

"You've seen her more than once?" I asked.

"After stabbing that asshole? Yeah, but only once." For some reason he glared at the one-way mirror. "Well, that's all I'm gonna say. After all, it's rude to talk about somebody who's listening." I was starting to think he was playing games with me. I got up and left.

"I think he might be playing tricks with us." I said as I returned to the others.

"Whatever. We got a confession. That's enough for us." Hank said. Two officers went in to take him away to a cell. I saw him stare at (Y/n) as he walked past her. She stared back. I wondered why it seemed like they knew each other. I pushed it aside. It wasn't important.

I walked over to (Y/n) and she smiled at me. There was something different about her smile. It was like I wanted to see her smile more often. I guess I like it. I concluded. I wondered why (Y/n), a human who shouldn't really care about a machine like myself, would be so nice to me. Maybe it was common courtesy. Maybe she just felt empathetic toward something that looked human. I couldn't be sure. One thing was true though, I did look forward to working with her. She seemed nice and she was nice to me. I knew I wasn't supposed to like or dislike people, but as long as it wasn't interrupting my mission, there was really no harm in liking her. Maybe...I can allow myself this one thing. I thought to myself.

As I walked out with (Y/n) she went to the desk that was going to be hers shortly and grabbed a pen and a piece of paper. I was interested as she scribbled some things down onto it. She turned to me and gave it to me.

"If you ever need to find me, you can come to my place. I better go before my friends start getting worried about me. I'll see you tomorrow, kay?" She said. She began to leave. "Bye Connor!" She called before hurrying away. I smiled a little bit.

"Goodbye, (Y/n)." I said quietly. I downloaded the little bit of information into my memory. I wonder if she would like it if I went to visit her. I pushed the thought away. I should stay focused. Besides, I really shouldn't abuse this information anyway.
