You and Connor arrived and you saw Oreon working at his desk. You both walked over to greet him and see if he got anything. He looked up as you both came over.

"Morning, guys." He greeted.

"Goodmorning, Oreon." Connor replied.

"Hey, Oreon!" You said with a friendly smile.

"Have you obtained any information?" Connor asked.

"Yeah, and it looks like we're going to go visit Markus." He said.

"Markus?" You both questioned.

"Yeah. I found information on this artist named Carl Manfred and I remembered that Markus mentioned his owner before he became a deviant was named Carl. It might be the same one since Markus also mentioned that he liked to paint." Oreon said.

"It seems promising, but why do we need to find this man?" Connor asked.

"Because Carl was apparently really good friends with Jamison in their youth and they stayed in contact for a long time afterward. He might know something about where Jamison went." Oreon said.

"Who might know something?" You both turned as Hank came up next to you from behind.

"Oreon found out that an artist named Carl Manfred was friends with Jamison Flint when they were young. He thinks this Carl is the same one Markus talked about and this also leads us to believe that Carl might know something about where Jamison went." You explained. Hank nodded, processing all the information you'd just given to him.

"So then we're off to see Markus?" He asked.

"Correct." Connor replied.

"Well, then it's pointless standing around here any longer. Let's get going." Hank said.

"Who's driving this time?" You asked.

"Me." Hank said. You chuckled, having known Hank was going to insist he drive. It was predictable, to say the least. As you all began to head out, you felt somebody grab your arm. You turned and you practically hissed as you saw Gavin was there.

"Do you mind letting go, Reed?" You growled.

"Just curious what you four are up to. I never got notified about any new cases coming in." He said.

"We're trying to solve an old case." Oreon said, getting pretty close to you almost as if he was ready for a fight if Gavin tried to touch you again.

"Old case? What old case are you trying to solve?"

"Who killed my parents if you must know." You said, glaring at him. He looked surprised.

"You're parents were killed?" He asked.

"Yes, now if you don't mind we've got to get going." You said. You all left without another word to him. Connor came up beside you.

"I told you that you were strong." He said. You smiled a little. "You'll always be able to pull through, I believe that." You hugged him with one arm and you stayed like that as you both followed after the others, staying close together.

"Thank you, Connor." You said quietly. He smiled at you.

"Of course." He replied, kissing your temple. You giggled a little, but then you heard Hank shout,

"UGH! Be cute on your own time! Nobody here wants to see it!" You both blushed and Connor muttered,

"S-sorry, Lieutenant." Oreon laughed.

"Aw, come on, Hank! Don't be so sour!" He said. You smiled a little at him, thankful for his efforts to make it less embarrassing for you both.

You and Connor got into the back of Hank's car as Oreon and Hank got into the two front seats. You sat right next to Connor, shivering slightly. It was colder out today, even with the sun shining, and Hank's car wasn't exactly warmed up prior to getting into it. You breathe still came out in a cloud and you tried to gain back some warmth.
