The next morning you woke up to a sound of banging on the door. You groaned as you sat up. Connor was still out cold from last night. You sighed. You got up and slipped your robe on. You nearly feel down the stairs, but luckily you were able to catch yourself.

You eventually made it to the front door and you opened it without a second thought or care to who was there. You really just wanted to shout at them to go away, but once you opened it you came face to face with Oreon. He looked a little surprised by your appearance, but at that moment with the groggy state you were in you didn't even notice that you were only wearing a robe in front of him.

"Oreon....what the hell are you doing here so early?" You asked.

"S-s-sorry, (Y/n), but um...I-I got a call last night about somebody who had some information." He said. You perked up slightly, starting to gain your barrings and wake up a bit more.

"You actually got a call?" You asked. He nodded.

"Um, may I come in?" He asked. You moved aside and you both headed out to the couch. You practically collapsed on it while Oreon awkwardly sat down in one of the chairs.

"Errgh....it's at times like this I wish I could drink some damn coffee." You mumbled. Oreon chuckled a little, but you noticed the tiny of blue on his face. "What's up with you?"

"Um...(Y/n)....did you just wake up?" He asked. It was at the moment you knew exactly why he was blushing.

"SHIT! I'M AN IDIOT! I'M SO SORRY, OREON!" You shouted, beyond embarrassed. It was a miracle Connor was still asleep. He quickly hurried over to comfort you. He gave you a reassuring smile.

"Hey, hey, it's okay! It is me, after all. Don't get so worked up. Just...go put something on." He said. You smiled gratefully at him and hurried upstairs. You changed and then you looked over at Connor. He was still sleeping like a rock. Jeez. Last night must've really done a number on him. You thought. You walked over and gently shook your boyfriend awake. His eyes drifted to the side to meet yours since he was laying on his side. His hair was still messy from the night before. He smiled a little at you. He looked a little confused once he saw you were dressed.

"H-hey, (Y/n). What's going on?" He asked.

"Oreon's here, Con. You gotta get dressed." You chuckled. He pushed himself onto his back so he could see you better.

"Oreon? Why is he here so early?" He asked, still looking pretty sleepy. He looked so adorable and precious.

"He got a lead last night, honey. Come on, you gotta get up." You said. He let out a type of groan like whine.

"But we didn't get to cuddle...." He muttered. You giggled.

"Oh, Connor, you're such a doofus." You giggled, leaning in to be closer to him. He smiled, looking more awake, but very content and relaxed. He raised his arm to cup your cheek.

"I'm you're doofus then." He chuckled. You kissed for a moment before you heard Oreon shouting for you.

"(Y/n)? Connor? You two didn't fall back asleep up there, did you?" He called. You chuckled. Connor looked a little uncomfortable and somewhat sad even. You didn't notice right away since you weren't looking.

"I'll be down in a sec, Oreon!" You called. You turned back to Connor. "You coming-" You cut off as you noticed his expression. "Connor? Are you alright?" You asked. His brown eyes met yours.

"(Y/n)...I...I think there's something you should know-"

"GAH!!!!!" You heard Oreon scream downstairs. You heard happy barking. You laughed a bit as Oreon shrieked for the wolves to get off of him.

"He's such a weirdo. You two are more alike than you want to admit." You chuckled. "Anyway, what were you going to say, Con?" You asked. He looked at you. He sighed, putting on a soft smile.

"I was going to say that you should know how beautiful I think you are." He said. You smiled at him.

"Thanks, Connor." You kissed his nose and then you hurried off to go help Oreon downstairs.

Connor's POV

"(Y/n)? Connor? You two didn't fall back asleep up there, did you?" He called. (Y/n) chuckled. I felt my heart sink a little. I remembered how Oreon had looked at her the other night. I thought about the pain I must have been causing him. I knew he loved her, but...(Y/n) had chosen me over him. I wondered what she would think if she knew. I knew Oreon wouldn't like me telling her, but she had to know.

"I'll be down in a sec, Oreon!" (Y/n) called. She looked back at me, her (e/c) eye's shining brightly. "You coming-" She cut off as she noticed my expression. "Connor? Are you alright?" She asked me. Our eyes met and I saw the concern and affection in her gaze. You need to know. I have to tell you.

"(Y/n)...I...I think there's something you should know-"

"GAH!!!!!" We both turned our heads again as we heard Oreon scream downstairs. Happy barking followed it. (Y/n) laughed a bit as Oreon shrieked for the wolves to get off of him.

"He's such a weirdo. You two are more alike than you want to admit." She chuckled. "Anyway, what were you going to say, Con?" I looked up at her again. She just looked so happy. How can you be happy with somebody like me? I sighed, putting on a soft smile, trying to make it look convincing.

"I was going to say that you should know how beautiful I think you are." I lied, even though there was truth in the second half of my words. She smiled lovingly at me.

"Thanks, Connor." She kissed my nose and then hurried off to go help Oreon downstairs. I watched as she ran off. I let my head drop back onto the pillow. I opened my eyes, staring up at the ceiling. God above guide me to the right choice. I love her and I don't want to give her up...but it's selfish of me to keep this secret. Would she choose him if she knew? She SHOULD have a fair choice, but...I don't want to lose her. I thought. I sighed heavily, my chest heaving. What should I do?
