Connor's POV

*4 weeks later*

It had been a long wait, but Kamski said that she was nearly complete. I was so happy. She was going to be okay. I was so excited to see her again. Well, more like talk to her and hold her in my arms an all of that stuff, but you get my point.

I was holding George again in my arms. I had named the dragon George because Hank had told me that Cole liked that name. Something about an old TV show Cole used to watch, but Hank didn't really tell me much about it. Still, I thought it was a good name.

As I held the dragon, I began to feel grateful for having a friend to cuddle with over the past 5 weeks of waiting for (Y/n) to be fixed and possibly wake up. I wanted to show George to her. I knew she'd like him.

After a little while, I decided to check on the animals. I headed to the pet sanctuary. Instead of a wing, they had a new big room for them all. Humans and androids alike came to adopt now. After all, the humans had returned to Detroit.

Still, it was fun to hang out with them. The adopted pets that had owners in New Jericho stayed there while the ones that had been adopted left with their new families.

The animals had all really helped me through the past five weeks ever since I woke up.  It was always good to have somebody who would listen. Plus they would play games with me to help keep my mind off of it all.

The people that helped me most were Hank and Collin though. Collin was busy a lot, so it was more often Hank who helped me, but still. Collin would frequently check in on me, which was nice. He was a great android to talk to. He was a good listener too.

As I was playing with the animals, I heard Jaden come in. I waved to her. She smiled and came over as I pet Crow and Spring.

"You're in a good mood today." She said. I nodded.

"It's so close now. I can't help anticipating it." I replied. She smiled.

"Yeah. Me too." She agreed.

"I can't wait to see her eyes and her smile again. It just makes me feel so hopeful knowing that it's so close." I said.

"Any day now." She agreed. "Do you have any idea where you're both gonna go from there?"

"We're going to go back to the house. After a little while, we'll go back to work with Hank. We'll all be the perfect team. We'll have a happy life together, just like she wanted." I said, imagining the beauty of it all. Jaden smiled.

"That's quite the dream." She said.

"I understand life still won't be easy, but we'll have each other. We'll be together, doing what we love. It'll be what she wanted and that's all that matters to me." Jaden smiled. She hugged me.

"I'm sure that she'll love it." I smiled and hugged back.

"Thank you, Jaden." She pulled back with a chuckle.

"Always and forever, Connor." She said. "Now go on, you've been here long enough. Why don't you go play some games in the hangout area with the others?" She suggested. I smiled and stood up.

"Goodbye, Jaden!" I called.

"Bye, Connor!" I smiled and I left. I went to go to the hangout room. Once I arrived, I saw that the others were all playing a competitive match on the huge TV that was hanging off the back wall. It was some sort of driving game, but they were trying to knock each other off a tall building or destroy each other to earn points. I walked over and I saw that Jax was up against Jacob. A lot of other androids were watching and cheering for their own selective android.

The others had all agreed to stay at New Jericho until (Y/n) woke up. They didn't want to miss out on anything that happened, plus they wanted to be there when she woke up as well. I was glad they'd stayed. It was nice to have friends around. Hank had gone back to his house, after all, but he visited every day which made up for it.

I sat down and everyone greeted me except Jax and Jacob who were too focused on the game to notice right away.

"Who is winning?" I asked.

"Jax right now, but my bet's on Jacob! He's so gonna make a comeback! It's so close!" Claira said.

"No way! Jax is gonna take the cake!" Roxy said.

"Yeah!" Nelly agreed.

"Hah, my brother can win at any game!" Dell said.

"Yeah right!" Roxy scoffed playfully.

"I will congratulate either of them no matter who wins." Zora said.

"It's way more fun to pick sides!" Nelly said. Zora and I chuckled at her comment.

I watched along with them, deciding to just enjoy the game rather than pick a side. It was like this for a long time. Jax would be in the lead then Jacob would steal it, but minutes later Jax would take it back.

Soon enough it was down to the last 5 minutes of the round. Jacob had the lead. Jax was right behind him though. Nelly and Roxy were practically screaming for Jax to win. Dell wasn't screaming and neither was Claira, but they were still cheering for Jacob. I watched, smiling as they were nearly neck and neck.

"Come on Jacob!" Claira yelled.

"YOU CAN DO IT JAX!!" Even the androids behind us were chanting their selective android's name. A mixture a Jax and Jacob being called out behind us made me baffled how both weren't even a little bit distracted.

"JAX! JAX! JAX! JAX!"

"JACOB! JACOB! JACOB!"

"Only 30 seconds left!" Zora said.

"COME ON!!!" Roxy yelled. I was afraid she was going to flip the couch with all of her energy.

"Go, Jacob, go!" Dell shouted. Suddenly, Jax got a really strong weapon. He shot straight for Jacob and he fired a fireball at him. It hit him and he flew off the edge of the building, giving Jax one more point and making him take the lead. And just like that, the match was over. There were cheers and cries heard all around along with bouts of good sported laughter. Jacob groaned in defeat and gave Jax $50.

"And that is how it's done!" Jax said, snagging the fifty from his defeated friend.

"Good job, sweetie." Zora said. He smiled and kissed her cheek.

"Thanks, hon." He replied. Suddenly, I heard a shout.

"CONNOR!" I turned and I saw Chloe in the doorway. I instantly knew why she was there. I jumped over the back of the couch and I ran as fast as I could to the operating room. Something was either going very good or very wrong.
