You were on the ship's main deck. You looked out at the stars. You remembered that night. You felt a sickening twisting in your gut. You groaned at the feeling. Just thinking about it made you sick with grief, anger, and regret all at once. It was overwhelming, so naturally the urge to vomit was ever present. You fell to your knees, hugging your stomach. Androids shouldn't feel like this. You thought. Then you remembered Hank's words. "Maybe androids aren't as different from us as we thought." You sighed, standing back up and composing yourself.

You felt something slink across your foot. You jumped, nearly screaming at the contact, but then you noticed it was only Fang. You sighed. You sat down, getting to his level.

"Hey Fang." You greeted. He hissed a friendly greeting to you, slithering up your knee. You chuckled and pet the top of his head. You knew his owner, but you didn't want to think about Jax right now. The fact that he had escaped was remarkable, but you really didn't care to remember how he had acted toward you before meeting him again inside Jericho.

It was hard to see the dark colored snake in the dark of night thought. Luckily, his black scales glistened off the bright light of the moon.

"So, what are you doing up here?" You asked.

"I was Sssssunbathing with Tucker, Ssssstreak, and Amai." He replied, his S' dragging on. You thought it was cute how it was true that snakes dragging on their S'. It really did add to his character. He was a good snake, none the less. Then, you heard the last voice you wanted to hear.

"FANG!!" He turned his head.

"Guessssss Jax is worried about me." He said. Jax soon spotted you both and came over. You saw the look on his face. Is that...regret? You wondered. He came over and gave you a small wave with a semi friendly semi nervous smile. You just gave him a formal nod.

"I believe this is who you're looking for." You said with no emotion in your voice as you stood up and gently handed Fang to Jax. Fang slipped around his shoulders, resting there like a half wrapped scaly scarf.

"Thanks." Jax said. You both stood there in silence. Then he spoke up.

"I'm sorry." You looked at him surprised.

"What?" You asked.

"I asked one of your friends and they told me everything that's happened to you. I...I'm sorry (Y/n). If I had helped you none of this would have happened. I understand if you blame me. I understand if you don't want to forgive me, but could we at least make amends? We are fighting for the same side now after all." He said with a hopeful and semi nervous smile as he outstretched his hand to you. You smiled a little and shook it.

"I forgive you, Jax. I understand where you were coming from on leaving me. It made sense. It was the logical action even if you were mainly looking out for yourself, I understand. I'm sorry for being a little sour. I'll be okay if we can stay friends. Is that alright with you?" You asked. He smiled, relieved.

"Yeah. Thanks, (Y/n). I'll see you around, kay? Not too huge of a ship after all." He joked. You chuckled a little.

"Yeah. See ya around, Jax." You agreed. You turned away and leaned on the rusty railing on the edge of the ship. He seemed to understand you wanted to be alone. He left you be and you sighed to yourself. You stayed there for a long, long time until finally working up the motivation to go back down into the ship.

Once you did, you were met with the happy go lucky Nelly. You smiled at her as she welcomed you with a huge hug. You chuckled. She still manages to be so happy. I guess that's her strength. You thought.

"Hey (Y/n)! I was wondering where you were! Markus came up to me and asked and I said I didn't know, so I looked around for you! I wanted to talk to you anyway!" She said.

"What about?" You asked.

"I was wondering what you think we should do. You know, on the whole violence vs peace debate. I overheard North and Josh arguing again. It's never fun listening to them fight. North can get kind of...nasty sometimes, you know? I mean, I know she means well for us androids! Don't get me wrong, but her methods of getting her point across can be...over the top, you know?" She said. You nodded.

"I get it. Don't stress over it Nelly. I'm sure they can handle themselves. Besides, Markus is always around them, so if it gets out of hand he'll be there. And my opinion? Well, I'll go with whatever Markus says, but I personally think trying to show them that we can be alive and good is important. Since when does bloodshed ever do any good, right? There's more than one way to get a point across is what I'm saying." You said. Nelly smiled and nodded in agreement.

"Exactly! I'm glad you see it that way. Anyway! I better go check up on Pixie! I'll see you later (Y/n)!" She said and ran off. You chuckled. Pixie was the little fawn that had come with it's mother. She had named it pixie because of the darker brown mark on her fur that kind of looked like pixie dust. Nelly loved playing with the two. They were really sweet and a cute family. Nelly was the perfect protector for them. You knew that one for sure.

You went to go find Markus, North, and Josh. Once you found them, you waved a greeting and they greeted you in return. You joined the trio, wondering what the discussion would be this time around.

"I was thinking the next move we make is a peace march. We have to show them that we want freedom, but still be civil about it." Markus said. You nodded while North looked slightly uncomfortable. Josh looked all for it.

"Markus that's dangerous." North argued.

"It might be dangerous, but I believe we'd be doing the right thing." Josh said, defending Markus' idea. Markus looked at you.

"What do you think, (Y/n)?" He asked. You thought about it and nodded.

"It's worth a shot."
