Claira arrived to pick you up and go out for trying on things for your date. She was going all wedding mode on you, insisting Connor not see the dress until tomorrow night. You both headed out to her apartment where she had a mini designer room set up. You began trying on some of her dresses.

You waited for Claira to pick one out, wondering what she would choose. Soon she came back with one. It was longer, but it looked almost too fancy.

"Try this on." She said. You did and you stood in front of her full-length mirror. She hummed, deep in thought. "Nope. Too much like a ball dress." She said. You took it off and she went to grab one that was less 'ball like'.

You waited and she came back with one that looked like it showed a little too much skin. You still tried it on. She looked disgusted. "Ugh, no. You plus Connor is perfect. Add this and it becomes gross." She said. You thanked the Lord above she agreed with you.

You took it off and she got one that looked a bit too much like what you would wear to a picnic if you were a prissy flower enthusiast or something. Once again, Claira seemed to agree. "Nope. Too girly, not enough 'date me'." She said. You took off another dress and she rummaged through her things. "Too bland...too long...ugh, it's not your wedding day...that's too dark...that's gonna melt his eyes...aha! Found it! This could work! Try it! Try it!" She encouraged while handing you a dress that you thought could actually work. You tried it on and looked at yourself. Claira hummed. "Something's missing." She said. She snapped her finger and you could almost see the lightbulb over her head. She hurried off as you kept looking at yourself in the dress.

She came back and she put your hair up in a bun and she added some make-up. (If you have super short hair or if buns don't work in your hair, ignore that bit.) She smiled, clearly pleased with herself. "That's what we've been looking for." She said. She stepped aside so you could have a look. You smiled.

"Claira, you're amazing." You said.

"I try." She replied.

"Think Connor will like it?" You asked.

"He is going to pass out when he sees how gorgeous you look. Trust me, that boy is never gonna forget tomorrow for we have just made sure of it." She said. You smiled.

"I hope so." You replied.

"I don't hope so, (Y/n). I know so." Claira said. You smiled.

"Yeah."

Connor's POV

"So? What did she say?" Hank asked over the phone.

"She said yes!" I said happily.

"Congrats, Connor! I'm happy for you, son." Hank said.

"Thanks, Hank." I replied.

"How did Oreon take it?" He asked.

"I don't know. (Y/n) is the one that told him, not me." I said.

"Probably for the best doing it that way. Well, I'm glad things worked out! I'll talk to you later, Connor." Hank said.

"Goodbye, Hank." I replied and hung up. I wondered if I should search up other things that are involved in dates. I went into the office room and logged into the computer. I began to look through some things. I looked at popular dates themes. I found the candles and rose petals help set the mood. I smiled, hoping she would like that. I could go find some roses a little later. I kept looking through certain things and I came upon something that made me curious. I looked at it. What? Why would we do that? What...is that? I wondered. I logged off, trying to piece together the information I found. Maybe I should ask her about that. It couldn't hurt, could it?

Oreon's POV

I overheard Connor talking to 'Hank' about the date. I listened in, hoping he wouldn't notice me.

"So? What did she say?" Hank asked over the phone. I had tuned into the signal so I could hear what he was saying as well.

"She said yes!" He said happily.

"Congrats, Connor! I'm happy for you, son." Hank said.

"Thanks, Hank." Connor replied.

"How did Oreon take it?" He asked.

"I don't know. (Y/n) is the one that told him, not me." Connor said.

"Probably for the best doing it that way. Well, I'm glad things worked out! I'll talk to you later, Connor." Hank said.

"Goodbye, Hank." Connor replied. Then he stood up. I quickly dashed into my room, hiding inside so he wouldn't know I was listening. He went to the office room and shut the door. I sighed in relief. I was glad he hadn't caught me.

I wondered what Connor was doing in there, but I pushed it away. Why should I be concerned about him? I thought.

I went out and sat on the couch, watching some of my own shows. Soon, (Y/n) was home. I smiled as she walked in the door with a special bag clearly carrying the dress she was wearing. I was about to great her when she hurried up to me.

"Oreon! I need your advice!" She said. I was surprised.

"Um, okay, sure. What is it?" I asked. She took my hand quickly without a word and dragged me upstairs. She locked the bedroom door and I was stunned as she began to change. "(Y-Y/n)!?" I questioned, my face heating up.

"Oh! Sorry, Oreon! I got a little excited. Could you turn around quick?" She asked. I had only seen her bra, but it was enough to nearly cause my nose to bleed.

"Y-yeah, right." I stuttered like an idiot before turning around. I waited for her to finish changing and then she said,

"Okay. You can look." I turned and I swear she could've knocked me off my feet. She looked stunning.

"Do you think it's okay?" She asked.

"(Y/n)...you're the most beautiful girl-uh, um." I cut off, knowing I couldn't say that.

"What did you say?" She asked.

"I-I said Connor is gonna think you're the most beautiful girl in the universe. Eheh." I laughed nervously. She smiled.

"Aw, Oreon. Thank you. That makes me feel so much better about tomorrow. I better hide this in the closet so he doesn't see it though. Claira made me swear to do it." (Y/n) chuckled.

"Y-yeah. Makes sense. It is Claira." I said.

"Thanks for giving me your opinion on it, Oreon. I really hope tomorrow goes well." She said. I frowned, feeling my grief all over again.

"Yeah...I'm sure it'll be one of the best nights of your life." I replied.

"Yeah, I hope so." She said, looking over herself in the mirror again. "Well, if you could go now that would help me. I kinda need to change again." She said.

"Oh, uh, yeah, right. I'll, um...s-see you downstairs." I said.

"Okay! Can you tell Connor that I'm gonna watch more of my shows after I'm done? I don't want him to miss anything!" She said. I frowned as I saw how happy she looked, admiring herself in the mirror. She looked excited and genuinely pleased about tomorrow. I began to leave.

"Yeah, I will." I replied.

"Thanks, Oreon!" She said with a smile, looking at me in the reflection of the mirror. I gave her a weak smile back. I tried to make it more convincing, but clearly, I failed.

"Yeah, sure." I replied before closing the door and heading downstairs with my head still hung sadly. Best night of her life....and one of my worst.
