Chapter 107

You looked around. You wondered where you were. Everything was black. You were afraid. You looked around, but there was nothing everywhere you looked. 

"Hello!" You whipped around, startled. You saw a boy there. You were confused.

"Um..hello?" You said.

"Don't worry! I'm here to help!" He said. You smiled.

"Oh, okay." You knelt down so you were at his level.

"I wanted to tell you that you have a choice! You can pick where you want to go! Do you want to know more?" He asked. You smiled at him and nodded. "Okay! Well, you see this place is where you chose whether you want to come to heaven or go back to Earth!" He said. You were shocked.

"Wait, hang on, what!?" You asked. 

"Oh. Right. That's probably shocking to you. Um...let me think..." He hummed. 

"Listen, something happened that brought you here, but the others said I'm not allowed to tell you what. It's the rule. Buuuut I am allowed to tell you some other things!" He said.

"Well, then please start explaining." You said.

"Okay! So, in order for you to get here, you'd have to have an experience that basically killed you, but there's a way for you to go back to Earth. So, here were are! You get to chose where you want to go!" He explained.

"Can you tell me why you can't tell me anything else?" You asked.

"I'm not supposed to affect your choice since it's really important." He said.

"Is there anything else you can tell me at all to help me understand more?" You asked.

"Well....I guess I can tell you some things." He said. 

"Okay."

"So...you came here against your will. You....were with somebody when you 'died' and-"

"Wait, I was with somebody?" You asked. He nodded. You tried to remember what happened. Then, it hit you. You remembered the pain of the virus and you understood. You remembered everything.

"Connor..." You breathed. "Where's Connor!?" You asked. The boy looked startled, but he also looked unsure. 

"Um...I'm not sure I can tell you that." He said.

"Listen, little boy, I want to be with Connor. That is my choice. So wherever he is at currently is where I want to go. So I've made my choice, I just don't know what it is. You aren't influencing my choice, you're just telling me where I want to go." You said. He thought about it.

"Okay! That's not breaking the rules! Connor's on Earth!" He said. You smiled.

"Thank you!' You said, hugging him.

"Hey (Y/n)! Before you go, I feel like I should tell you some other things too." He said. You pulled back.

"Okay. Lay it on me." You said.

"Well, I'm Cole!" You were shocked.

"Cole!? You're Hank's son!?" You exclaimed.

"Yep!" He said. 

"Oh, Cole, I'm so honored to meet you! I wish Connor could meet you. I bet Hank would love to see you too." You said.

"That's actually why I'm telling you this. Can you give a message to my dad?" He asked. You nodded.

"Of course. Anything for Hank and yourself too of course." You said. 

"You can record this, right?" He asked. You nodded. You recorded the message he wanted to give to Hank.

"Hey, Dad! It's me! I bet you didn't think you'd get to see me! Well, I wanted to tell you that I miss you and that I'll be waiting right here for you! Also, tell Connor to take good care of George for me! Oh, and tell him that I'm so happy to be his brother! Thanks for giving me two brothers, Dad! They're AWESOME! Oh, and one last thing! Dad, I know you miss me, but I want you to stay with (Y/n) and Connor and Collin too! You've still got so much good in you, Dad! Go make the world a better place! I will always believe in you, Dad! Love you! And remember, I'll be right here waiting! And I'll be watching too! I always was and I hope this helps you more than it hurts you. I love you, Dad. You're still my hero." You were practically in tears as Cole said his message. He's such a good son. You thought. You stopped recording and you hugged him.

"Cole, I want to tell you that I wish you could come with me. Hank missed you a lot and I think you're just the sweetest son for wanting me to bring this to him. You're a great kid, Cole. And you're an amazing person. You know, when you and Hank see each other again, you better freaking come to me in a dream because I want to see it. " You said. He smiled.

"I will! I promise! Well, if I can drag Dad down to you. Hopefully, he's not too lazy for it." He said. You laughed. 

"I'm sure he'll come back for that. And Cole, I'm so honored to meet you. You have no idea how amazing this is for me." You said.

"I'm sorry you're parents couldn't come." He said.

"My parents?" You asked.

"Yeah. You don't remember them, remember? Alisandra wiped your memory of your human life. They wanted to see you, but I was chosen to come instead. Do you want me to tell them anything?" He asked. You smiled and nodded.

"Tell them that even if I can't remember them, I still love them." You said. He smiled and nodded.

"Okay! You know, if I'm a great son you're an awesome daughter!" He complimented. You chuckled, trying not to cry.

"Dang it, kid, you're gonna make me emotional." You said. He hugged you again.

"Sorry, heheh!" He chuckled. You chuckled along.

"So, I guess it's time for me to go." You told him.

"Yeah, I guess so." He said.

"What do I have to do?" You asked. 

"Oh! Close your eyes and repeat your choice in your head! Simple and easy!" He said. You nodded. You closed your eyes and relaxed your body. I want to go home to Connor. When you opened your eyes there was a door next to Cole. You both stood up and you gave him one last hug.

"Goodbye, Cole." You told him.

"Bye, (Y/n)!" He replied. You smiled, opening the door and stepping through.
