Lena was in the kitchen with headphones on her swollen tummy as she put on some music so her baby bugs could hear. She smiled as she could not wait to meet Caleb, Callum and Callie, but her smile faded a little as she thought about Robert and how he would not be in their lives at all and it hurt her.
"Baby girl?" Dana asked as she eyed her daughter. Lena didn't hear her mama call her and the older woman tapped her on the shoulder as Lena turned around with tears in her eyes as she eyed the concerned eyes of her mama. Dana wiped her baby girl's eyes and wiped her tears and kissed her forehead. "What's wrong?"
"I miss him even more and I thought I could forget him, but I won't. Every time I see my baby bugs I won't be able to forget him. He would always be the love of my life. My soulmate. How can I be a single parent? Will I be good at it?"
"You will be a great mama and you have me, your dad, Nate and Papa Thomas," Dana replied. "And we are happy you chose to live with Papa."
"But he's downstairs," Lena pointed out.
"It's safer that way," Dana added. "He could fall and it's great my grandchildren will be in a loving home."
"And the Penthouse wasn't a home?" Lena asked.
"Not for my taste," Dana said. "This home is safer and near Anchor Beach."
"True," Lena replied. "Why would Robert do this?"
"He's a spineless Jellyfish and has no backbone to go against his father," Dana remarked.
"I meant his dad. Dad, you, Raquel and Robert grew up together," Lena pointed out. "Robert and I grew up together."
"True, but Robert is about appearance," Dana said with a hiss and disgusted look.
"Then why didn't he try to stop the marriage?" Lena asked confused.
"I wish I knew?" Dana said to herself and for her daughter's benefit. "He is a damned fool."
"These babies aren't going to look like me at all," Lena replied. "And I don't care."
"You never did when you were little, but you will get some crap for sure by people and don't let it get to you. Don't limit yourself."
"I know," Lena said. "I never cared what my babies would look like with Robert mama when we talked about having babies one day."
"Are you still going to get a Hysterectomy?"
"I have to," Lena replied. "Robert and I knew I could only have one pregnancy."
"Well you are getting three babies and we are all thrilled," Dana replied. "I can't wait."
That's when Lena saw the three huge bags. "What is this?"
"More clothes for my grandchildren," Dana replied. "Size 2T to 4T."
"You didn't have to mama," Lena said. "But thank you."
"You are welcome and come see what I got," Dana said as Lena nodded and smiled at her babies new clothes, toys, books and plush characters.
"Now this is cute. My first Fisher Price Tea Party Set and my first Fisher Price Purse," Lena replied. Dana nodded in a smile. "And my first Fisher Price Make Up Kit."
"Remember when you and daddy played tea party all the time?"
"How could I forget?" Lena asked as she sighed as she thought about how Callie will be deprived of that with Robert."
Dana knew what her daughter was thinking about and patted her back. "You know daddy will love to play tea party with her. It's all he talks about when we found out about the genders."
