Lena and Stef ran into Mission Bay General as they saw Robert. "Robert!" they both yelled as he turned around. He looked scared and worried and it looked like he had been crying. He wiped his tears and faced them both. Two scared mothers.

"What the hell happened?" Stef asked. She was scared and upset as Lena didn't dare to correct her wife. Lena probably would have cursed too.

"I don't know. She just collapsed."

"What?" Lena asked. "What is wrong with my baby girl?"

"Douglas and Cecelia are working on her and I just checked with reception. They have no updates."

"Where are the boys?" Stef asked. Lena realized her sons weren't there.

"My mom and dad came over and I brought Callie here."

They were all scared and worried now. Then Douglas Maynard came out and he looked grim.

"DOUG. How is she?" Robert asked. He looked pensive.

"DOUGLAS!" Lena snapped. She rarely snapped.

"Callie has Mersa!" he replied. The three sets of parents eyed him in shock.

"What? How? You said she was fine that we all were?"

"It's very mild and she's getting antibiotics," he said. "Cecelia is with her."

"Can we see her?" Lena asked. "I need to see my baby girl."

"I'm afraid not," he whispered.

"What? Why not?"

"It is still contagious," he added. "Go to the waiting room and take a breather."

"Do we need to get my parents and the boys?" Lena asked.

"Yes as a precaution, but we gave you all a booster, but bring them in."

Dana, Stuart, Mike, Nate and Papa Thomas brought the boys and the kids in Callie's class were seen as well as were their parents.

It was going to be a long night. Raquel, Robert and Ruthie came with Caleb and Callum. Everyone was checked. Even all the kids in Callie's class and their families and teachers and anyone Callie hangs with. Even the other kids who came with their parents.

In the NICU, isolated ward , Lena, Stef and Robert eyed their little girl who was wide awake and confused, scared and worried as she was hooked up to all types of machines and wires.

"We need to do a Spinal Tap," Cecelia replied gently.

"WHAT?" Robert asked. Stef and Lena were too stunned to speak.

"It's necessary," she replied. They all nodded and didn't leave. "It might not be pleasant."

"We aren't leaving," Robert replied. She nodded and left.

Ten minutes later, "WAAAHHHHHHHH!" Callie cried out. "WAAAHHHHHHHH!"

Lena burst into tears as Stef held her as Robert did too. "WAAAHHHHHHHH!"

"I WANT MY MAMA!"

Lena was torn and could not go with her. "MAMA. MOMMY. DADA!"

The three broke down as their hearts hurt. No parent wants to be apart from their sick child and now three were as their daughter's cries filled the corridor.

In the waiting room, the grandparents and Nona Ruthie cried as they heard their Callie's screams. Mike, Armando and Nate sighed. No one else had Mersa, but Callie.

"What was that? What are they doing to her?" Stuart and Robert Sr. asked.

"The spinal tap," Dana said. "It is necessary," she said as she wiped her tears. All the kids were worried.
