A Different Way To Finding Each Other

A Year Later: June Bloom and Gloom

Stephanie Marie Adams Foster sighed. It is now May and the three oldest kids are about to graduate in the following month and she had some bad news to tell her ex-husband  and father of her twin boys, Mike Foster.

"Mike we need to talk," Stef added. He eyed her and nodded.

"Is it the twins?" he asked scared. He loved his boys to death and the reason he became a daddy in the first place.

"Um yes, but nothing life threatening. Um Anchor Beach and San Diego Academy Commencement Ceremonies are the same time and day."

"Wait? What?" Mike asked. "Are you sure?"

"Yes and you have a choice to make."

"I have already and need to be their for our twins. I put other kids before them and I won't start again."

"Good I just figured you were going to not pick them," she replied. "I hope Nicole handles the news well."

"I hope so too," Mike replied. "I feel bad for Kennedy and Marie, but the boys are our sons and I've been waiting for this since they were born."

Stef nodded. "I need to pick up Callie at Armando and Micah's."

"And see you all at Lexi's Quince in a few days."

So far, Nicole was pissed her and Mike could not go to the couple's retreat with everyone else since all the couples in the family were going and she didn't know till the day Stef told her.

A month previous, "Why did you call my parents?" Stef asked.

"To see if they can watch the little twins for us, while we are at the couple's retreat, why?"

"They are coming. They planned the retreat with Lena's parents and Robert's parents, it's in the email."

"Oh," Nicole said and Papa and Pop were going to be in Los Angeles and her and Mike declined to go. They had hope in Robert Jr., but he had all the kids and was going to have all the kids, plus Callie's friends, the Riviera Rossi kids and he was being joined by Sam Cooper and Jackson Owens with their kids and Sam's two sister's, Savannah and Samantha.

Stef was brought back to reality.

"See you there," Mike replied as she left the Pike's Peak Coffee shop and he drove home and knew it was going to be a shit storm from Nicole and the older twins as he got home and parked his car and he walked in his home and saw his grandfather, Mark Foster.

"How bad?" Mark asked.

"Bad and I will tell you after I tell Nicole."

In the master, "Let me get this straight. Anchor Beach and San Diego Academy graduation is the same day and time?"

"Yes," Mike added. "I'm sorry but I can't go see Kennedy and Marie graduate."

"I'm a tad bit hurt, but I understand babe," Nicole replied. "So I guess just me?"

"Huh?" Mike asked.

"Mike. Mitch and Pop are going to see them graduate, so are Lena and Stef's family and the Quinn's. So just me. But it's fine."

"Don't try to make me feel guilty because I feel like crap. Well they aren't my family remember," he added. He left out the fact, that the Riviera Rossi, the Owens and the Cooper families were going to the Anchor Beach graduation since the Cooper and Owens Quads were graduating as well.

"I'm not," she replied. "But we are in the same boat."

At the Adams Foster home, Stef called all the adults in the family and her wife Lena.
