Not Just A Tummy Ache

Callie winced as she grabbed at her tummy and cried. It was very painful and she went to get her daddy since it was just the two of them. "DADDY!" Callie cried out. "DADDY!"

The triplets had dinner with their daddy, but Callie wanted to stay the night and since it was a Friday her mama and mommy let her and Robert would bring her back home the next morning.

"Hey baby buggy what's wrong?" he asked as he put the light on and eyed his baby buggy in tears and felt her head. "What's wrong?"

"My tummy it HURTS!" she yelled out as he knew it could be bad as he got her and ran from her room and down the stairs and fast. He grabbed his wallet, shoes and keys and put her in the backseat and in her booster and sped to the hospital.

He ran into Mission Bay General and saw both Douglas and Cecelia Maynard. "DOUG. CECE!" he yelled as they both turned around and ran for Robert and Callie who was screaming at this point as a stretcher was called over and the girl was placed on it.

"OWWWWWWWWWW!" Callie cried as Douglas put his hand on her tummy.

"OR. STAT!" he replied. Robert's eyes went wide at the words OR. STAT and he eyed Cecelia as she ran after her husband. 

"Mr. Quinn. Can we call someone for you?" nurse Betsy Moss asked.

"My former wife Lena Adams Foster," he replied. He bit his lip as the tears came down his face as he eyed the closed door to the Operating Room and sat at a chair as the nurse came with the cordless phone and gave it to him.

The phone rang and Lena picked it up on the third ring. "Hello?" she asked tired.

"L, Lena?" Robert called out. 

"Robert? What's wrong?" she asked as she turned the light on. 

"I um had to bring Callie to the hospital and they took her. They haven't told me anything since the nurses don't know anything," he replied.

"WHAT? I'M ON MY WAY!" she replied. She called her parents and they came over since Stef was called into work since someone called out sick.

Lena got dressed and raced to the hospital as Robert called Stef at work and left a message and called Captain Roberts who took the call and went to get Stef.

Stef was in interrogation as Captain Roberts asked for her to come out. "Captain he almost caved."

"I will send in Armando and Mike. Robert called. Callie's in the hospital."

"WHAT?" she asked. "WHY?"

"He doesn't know yet," she replied. "Go we will be fine and he called Lena before he called here."

Stef nodded as she eyed the concerned looks of Armando and Mike and ran for the exit and to her car and sped to the hospital and got there before Lena did.

She parked and ran in and saw Robert with nurse Betsy Moss. "Nothing yet? It's been an hour."

"I'm sorry Mr. Quinn," she replied. He nodded.

"I'm sorry," he replied. "Callie's my daughter."

"I know sir and I have kids too and I've been there before. Don't worry."

"I'll try not too," he replied.

"Robert?" Stef asked in her uniform.

"Stef they don't know anything yet," he replied. "She woke me up and it was about her tummy."

Lena was on the road and all she thought about was her baby girl and it is a week after Labor Day as she got off the exit and found a parking spot near the entrance, parked and cut the engine and ran in.
