Dana Elizabeth Adams smiled wide as she got off the phone with her Aunt Mae Smith who lives in Atlanta, Georgia. Dana, Lena and the triplets were invited to the Monroe-Smith Family Reunion and it was going to be the last weekend of February. She put in an RSVP for herself, Lena and the triplets and went to see her daughter after school.

It was the second week of the spring semester and after school Callie eyed her Grams and ran over to her. "GRAMS!" Callie cried out as Dana smiled wide as her Angel Buggy came running over and accepted her granddaughter in her arms and picked her up as the girl wrapped her legs around her Grams waist and laid her head on her shoulder.

"How is my pretty girl huh? How is my Angel?" Dana asked.

"I'm great. How are you Grams?  And Gramps?"

"We are good. Where is your mama?" Dana asked.

"In her office and where I'm going. Extended daycare is closed since the lights are out," Callie replied as Dana put Callie on her left hip as they went to Lena's office.

In her office, "Where is your sister?" Lena asked of her sons.

"She took off running somewhere," Caleb added. Lena shook her head. Callie was like that and anything cute or cool distracted her little girl. Lena sighed as she got up from her desk as a knock was heard. Caleb opened it. Her and Stef needed to talk with their girl tonight about getting distracted, but Lena was the same way and since her daughter didn't look like her, she came out like her feelings and ideas. Her sons were the same way and they got distracted too, but not like her baby girl.

"GRAMS!" Caleb replied as she walked in with Callie on her left hip.

"MAMA! She is too big to carry," Lena replied. Lena gave her daughter a look and the girl bit her lip.

"You do it!" Dana added. "I'm not old yet."

"I didn't say that," Lena replied. Dana set her granddaughter down as she ran over to her mama and hugged her tight. "Hi mama I saw Grams and I'm sorry for not coming right after."

"That's alright and not again," Lena replied. "I was scared baby girl."

"Oh sorry," the girl replied. Lena smiled and kissed her baby girl on her forehead as she went to start her homework. When it came to homework she was all business. They all were.

"Mama I need to get a book from the library," Callie replied. "I'm doing a paper on a famous person and I picked Leonard Nimoy."

"Figures," Caleb replied. "My first bet was Barbie."

"Her real name isn't Barbie. It's Barbara Millicent Roberts," Callie added. "So there."

"Mama what's wrong?" Lena asked.

"I'm here for two things. First I'm here for the little twins to take them to the Dentist and second, me, you and the triplets were invited to the Monroe-Smith Family Reunion," Dana added. The first news Lena forgot and the second news she dreaded.

"The Dentist?" Matthew and Max asked. "Do we have to mama?"

"You do," Lena replied.

"Mama did you sign us up for the Family Reunion?" Lena asked.

"I sure did. The triplets need to know where you came from," Dana added.

"Mama I," Lena replied as she remembered Matthew and Max. "When is it?"

"The last weekend of February and we can leave on Friday since there's no school," Dana said as Lena nodded. It's not like she hated her mama's side of the family, but her cousins never played with her growing up and made fun of her for being half black and half white and it hurt Lena and she resented her cousins for that. Two cousins a boy and a girl her age, but a few weeks older were the only ones who played with her and they are twins, Darren and Deanna Monroe.
