"Daddy? Can I have a slumber party at your home?" Callie asked. She smiled and batted her eyelashes and stuck her lip out. This tugged at his heart and knew he would give in, but he needed to be level headed. It was a known fact that Callie had her mama and her daddy and her granddaddy wrapped around their fingers.
"Oh. Um when?"
"In two weeks. I know it's not your weekend, but can I still?"
"It's fine by me, but I need to ask your mama and mommy first. It is not my weekend," he told her as she nodded and hoped her mama and mommy would agree as she hugged him tight.
Lena's cell went off and she answered it and smiled. "Hi Robert. What's going on?"
"Callie asked me if she could have a slumber party in two weeks on a Friday night till Saturday and I told her I would ask you and Stef. It's not my weekend and it would just be Callie and a few friends."
Lena sighed. "I will need to see what Stef thinks. It is not your weekend, but I don't want to be a bad guy either and Stef won't want to at all."
"Okay. Let me know," Robert said as he ended the call and she put her cell phone away and she sighed. Being seven now, Lena understood. She was seven when she had her first slumber party and Nate was fourteen and begged their dad if they could go somewhere and they both left to go fishing for the weekend.
Lena called Stef at work and the blonde picked up. "Hi my love. What's up?"
"Robert called. Callie asked him if she can have a slumber party at his place in two weeks on a Friday till Saturday."
"That's December 7th to the 8th? It's not his weekend and it will be good since I have a week training and you won't need to worry about the girls at all just the boys, minus our big twins who will be with Mike."
"So it's okay then?" Lena asked.
"Fine by me and at least I know you won't be running haggard," Stef replied. "Since I have my training."
"Agreed," Lena replied. "I will call and let him know. I just forgot doesn't Mike train with you?"
"No he is still on leave."
"Good," Lena replied. "Well see you at home."
"She agreed?" Robert asked.
"She did and she won't be here anyway and I will have the rest of the boys minus the big twins."
"Training?" Robert asked.
"Yes," she replied. "But if you need any ideas let me know."
"I will," he replied as Lena ended the call.
Callie wanted a Disney Princess slumber party and she picked out the movies they would watch and the games they were going to play. The movies were going to be Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and the Seven Drawfs, Beauty and the Beast, The Princess Frog, Tangled, Moana, Mulan 1 and 2 and Pocahontas 1 and 2.
The games were going to be Disney Princess Monopoly, UNO, and Scene It. Robert would make Pigs in a Blanket, wings, small sandwiches and lots of popcorn, chips and candy. The dessert would be Root Beer Floats and each girl was going to make friendship bracelets and get a tote with Disney stuff.
Robert was worried since he never did a slumber party before and he remembered when his two older sister had slumber parties, Robert and his dad always left to do man things and he didn't know what to do and he called Lena. Robert sighed as he missed Rona and Rochelle.
He knew they would not have forgiven him by leaving Lena and he knew they would have doted on the triplets, hell they would have moved in with Lena to help her.
