Robert Quinn got his cell and answered the phone call and picked it up. "Hello?"
"Hi Uncle Robert. It's AJ."
"Hi what's going on?" Robert asked.
"My class is having Take Your Kid to Work Day and I was wondering if you can take me?"
Robert sighed. "I'm sorry buddy. But I'm taking the triplets to Take Your Kid To Work Day. I told your mama last week."
"Oh I see," he replied.
"I can only take three according to my email," Robert said.
"I understand," AJ replied. He ended the call as Stef eyed her oldest son.
"What did he say?" Stef asked.
"He can't. He's taking the triplets to work with him. He told mama last week."
"I can talk with him," Stef replied.
"He can only take three kids," AJ replied. "It's fine. Rules are rules for a reason."
"And Mike can only take two," Stef told herself and knew Mike would never pick another kid over either twin. AJ left and she remembered Nate and asked him.
"I'm taking Matthew and Max. It's take your nephews to work day."
"Any rules on how many?"
"Three. If AJ wants to come he can, but they might not let him since they don't like last minute."
An hour later, "He can come."
"Good and I will let him know," Stef replied.
"But his badge will be a regular one with marker. Last minute."
The triplets walked into their daddy's job and knew he was the boss of his company and they were each given a special badge.
"Well we finally get to meet your triplets," Amanda Jenkins said.
"Yup. Caleb, Callum and Callie," Robert said with pride. "Almost five."
"The youngest for all the kids today," Anthony Miller said. "The oldest is 17."
"That's old," Callie said. "I can't wait to be 17."
Robert smiled in a sad way. "No dating till your 30."
"But I will be with Lexi daddy."
"Fine 15 I guess."
At the station, Mike walked in with the twins and the kids were in awe. They have been there before, but this was different as Armando had Alexander and Christian and Lexi went with Micah to San Diego Prep since he teaches high school kids.
"Where is Jack?" Armando asked.
"He went with Lena," Mike said. "The triplets are with Robert and Matthew, Max and AJ are with Nate."
At Camp Pendleton, Nate is stationed there five days during the week as his three nephews were given a tour and they were each given badges. AJ eyed his.
"Last minute," Nate whispered as AJ nodded. His heart sank and it felt like he was the pity party.
"I understand," he whispered. They each got a sweater that said Camp P in their size as they saw their Uncle Nate in action.
"So how do you feel like being an Uncle?" AJ asked.
"Great. When I became an Uncle for the first time I was in heaven after the triplets were born and it was special after my mama came out to say they were born."
"Oh," AJ replied. The triplets will always be the reason Nate became an Uncle, his mama became a mama for the first time and his grams and gramps grandparents for the first time and he felt weird. He missed being the first grandson in the family, but it is actually Caleb, Callum and Callie were the first grandchildren when it came to the Adams family. He was the oldest, but because Jack was adopted. Hell it was the reason his Godfather, Robert Quinn became a father for the first time, even if they were four when he found out about them. The triplets were even the first grandchildren to the Quinn's and the only grandchildren.
