A Different Way To Finding Each Other

Married

Almost two years later in January, Stef and Lena are about to get married to each other and Stef is in a white pant suit and Lena is in a tan dress that sparkled.

"Not a white one?" Dana asked her daughter as Lena sighed.

"No and I have my reasons," Lena asked as she was getting her hair and makeup done.

"Are you sure about this?" Dana asked.

"I love her mom," Lena replied. "I do."

"Not as much as she loves you," Dana added. "I feel for the kids if this doesn't work."

Lena nodded and got up once her hair and makeup was finished and eyed her mama.

"Let's get you married," Dana said as Lena met her daddy and hooked her arm into his as the music began to play. 

In front, Stef was with her older twins as they stood near her and the almost eight year old twins could not wait till their mommy and mama to get married. They were going to be a family for real. 

Mike sat near Frank and Sharon as they eyed him with bittersweet looks thinking it might be hard for him to watch the love of his life get married to a woman. It wasn't Mike's fault that Stef was a lesbian, but it was her fault that she lied to him. Mike wasn't the only one affected by her choice, the twins were affected as well.

Caleb and Callum were the ring bearers, while the younger set of twins were on the opposite side of their mommy. They grinned and were all smiles as the older twins made silly faces and the the younger twins started to giggle as Stef eyed her older and younger twins and gave them firm looks as they all smiled and tried not to laugh.

Stef looked back as she eyed the Caleb, Callum and Callie were coming down the aisle as the boys each held a pillow with a ring and Callie was in her nice dress throwing tiny red roses on the ground. 

As Stef thought about her life, she remembered when she proposed to Lena on their first Christmas as a couple. Lena was stunned into silence as she eyed all the kids and she knew they knew already as Lena nodded and said yes to the wedding proposal.

The music blared and Stef saw that the triplets were up near her as Lena came with her daddy as he bit his lip. He hoped the marriage worked since he knew his daughter was not that much in love with Stef as the blonde was in love with her.

"Daddy I will be fine," Lena replied. "I love her."

"Not as much as she loves you," Stuart added. "You will always be in love with Robert."

"I know daddy," Lena added. "I know," Lena echoed as she thought about her kids and Stef and she wanted this to work not just for them, but for the kids. She bit her lip as she went down the aisle.

Stef's thoughts went to the day  she proposed and Lena accepted and right away, the blonde wanted the wedding day to be February 14 and Lena shot it down and was very adamant on the choice. "Why not love?"

"That's the day Robert proposed a year before we got married and the day we got married," Lena replied. "It would feel weird if we got married that day."

"I see and understand and agree with you," Stef added. "How about January 5th?"

"Sounds like a plan," Lena replied as the kids looked on.

"Mama said yes," Stef replied as the kids cheered as Lena bit her lip.

Stef was brought back to life as Lena and Stuart made it to the the front as Stef and Lena were side by side as, Judge Sarah Milton presided over the wedding of Stef Foster and Lena Adams and she smiled.
