Jackson Owens saw Mike Foster and he sat down in front of the Head Of Foster Care. Mike bit his lip and it is now January 3rd 2020. "Well?" Mike asked.

"I contacted Ana's family and no one can take in the twins, like the last time. Jesus is allergic to pets and Mariana has issues with girls and they don't want that in their family. All of Ana's brothers have pets and kids."

"Wait? What? Allergic to pets? How? My twins have dogs."

"He hid it well," Jackson said.

"So what now?" Mike asked. Jackson bit his lip and sighed.

"I put Jesus and Mariana back into the foster care system three hours ago."

"What? Why?"

"Mike you aren't their biological father, you have dogs at home and honestly you can't be a foster parent. You have your own twins to worry about and Ana is pregnant with your child. Plus you are in A.A. and you are also single and no one in your life right now."

Mike nodded. "Yeah she is  three months along and we were trying."

Jackson got up and sighed. "I will have their new caseworker go and pick them up."

"His name?"

"Bill Ortiga," Jackson replied. "The best."

"Is it bad when foster kids go back in the system after getting out?"

"It depends on how they act, but it's rare to have kids back in the system once they get out."

Mike felt sad. "I understand. I just feel bad."

"Do you want me to be there?"

"Yes," Mike replied. "Soothe things over."

"Are you going to tell Ana?"

"After she has the baby," he replied. "Not now and knowing her she will want me to take them in, but I can't. I will never give the dogs away I can't. And I'm a cop and in A.A. and have my own kids to worry about."

"I understand. Don't feel bad. Ana screwed up and we never knew about her being a drug and gun Queen."

"Me neither and I feel like a complete idiot."

"Until we can get the twins they can stay at your place."

Mike nodded. "So do you want a boy or girl?"

"A girl. I got two boys already and she will have her room set up and everything."

"Do you have a support system once the baby gets here?"

"Stef and Lena," he replied unsure. But he hoped they would help him once his son or daughter was born and if not he was screwed. As he thought about where would he or she sleep? Callie had her own room and would be almost eight once the baby was born and she had friends in her room till January and they will come again in June 1st. And Jack had his own room too and had Tommy Richardson in there.

Mike knew his life sucked right now and he hoped his boys took to their new soon to be sibling and he could just see it now as he sighed. What was he going to do with a baby? He hoped it was one and he realized it might be twins. So far Ana had two sets of twins and him and Stef had their own set of twins.

"I better go," Mike replied as Jackson nodded. The Head of foster care watched him leave and sighed. He had to put Mariana's actions on and what she did to Callie on her file and put Jesus's allergies to dogs on his file and sighed. They  already had Red Flags on their files and it broke him deeply.

Parents want their kids back, but can't seem to get their act or acts together. He feared the kids would age out of the system and what then? Foster care youth who age out of the system were prone to identity theft and it sucked.  School was another issue and it is hard for foster kids to graduate and drugs and alcohol started, which led them in the footsteps of their parents.
