A Different Way To Finding Each Other

Gone Too Soon

Lena got the call at midnight and answered it. "Hello?" she whispered tired in May. The triplets were being difficult to put down for bed and more so Callie as Lena nursed her and fed the boys their bottles and now all three were in their cribs. 

"Is this Lena Adams? I'm Detective Stanley Miles calling on the behalf of Jenna and Kelly Paul."

"This is she. What's wrong? What's happened?" Lena asked of her friends.

"I'm sorry to inform you that Jenna and Kelly Paul were killed in a car accident a few hours ago and you were the next of kin," he replied.

"Oh My God. Matthew and Max? Keller?"

"Keller Paul died with his moms and Matthew and Max are at the station with me and need to be picked up and according to their will you were going to keep them."

"Yes I promised them a year ago," Lena replied as she got ready and left her almost 2 year old baby bugs with her mama and daddy as she rushed to Los Angeles in May for her new sons as Nate drove.

Nate packed all their stuff they had at the Burke summer home since they were on vacation for the weekend. The two boys just turned two in May and are four months older than the triplets as Lena and Nate packed everything and got the boys at the station. It is the first week of June.

"Hi my boys," Lena replied as the scared little boys hugged her tight.

"Mama? Mommy? Keller?" they asked.

"They are Angels," Lena said as they just looked confused as they nodded as Nate took Matthew and Max, while Lena signed them out. 

They took the boys straight home and would go to the apartment later for their things. Lena thought of Jenna and Kelly and how they defied their families to be with each other and that they didn't care if they were disowned by their families at all.

They were brave and strong to be with each other, get married and have a start a family. Kelly had Keller six years ago and Jenna gave birth to Matthew and Max when Keller was four and how he doted on his two baby brothers. They were in the process of adopting Garrett, Kelly's oldest son with her ex-husband, but after they died, Gabriel got his son back for good, but he had lost his ex-wife to get him back.

He wasn't a bad guy, but he was thrown for a loop as Kelly told him their twelve year marriage was over and he broke down and Lena felt bad for Gabriel. He never knew she was a lesbian and hid it from the world. On one hand,  Lena was glad she left a loveless relationship, but on the other she didn't like that Kelly lied to Gabriel over her sexual preference. 

She felt for Garrett since he lost his mom at a young age and he missed both of his moms. Garrett's twin brother, opted to stay with his dad and Gabriel Jr. missed his mom as well and was sad she was gone.

The next day, Lena and Nate went to get Matthew and Max's things and took what was their stuff and since Kelly stopped working after she married Jenna, all the money was Jenna's and she left everything to Matthew and Max and Garrett, not Gabriel since he was against the marriage of his mom and her and Garrett could get the inheritance when her turned eighteen.

Matthew and Max are twins and were set. Their donor dad, is a firefighter in Chicago and he died and left everything to the twin boys and all his homes were sold and that money went to Matthew and Max as well and could not be claimed until they are eighteen.

Garrett came over for his stuff and Keller's stuff was sold or donated and the money kept in an account for the twins called the Toy account and was set up by Garrett. Gabriel came to help his brother as Lena hugged him. 

Both boys left with their dad and were in grief as Gabriel Sr. and Lena hugged tight. They would stay friends as they left, the Taylor men left. Lena sighed and wiped her tears. Her friends son were left motherless.
