Mike and Ana were in a bind in July and Lena decided to watch Jesus and Mariana overnight for them and Mike would pick them up after work. Lena needed to tell Mike and Ana that they were getting the couch.
"Jesus and Mariana will need to be on the couch," Lena replied. "The family room is not an option. I'm sorry."
"Why can't Robert take them?" Ana asked thinking Lena would call him to take the triplets.
Lena bit her lip and Mike knew she was mad at Ana's suggestion. "Ana!" Mike warned.
"First off, it is not Robert's weekend, second off the triplets are my children and I won't send them away because you want your kids watched and third, Callie has her friends here in the room it is July," Lena scoffed. She gave dagger eyes at Ana.
"This is it. Take it or leave it. This is last minute and you are in a bind. This is my family home," Lena replied. "The twins are your kids, Ana."
Ana wasn't proud and she nodded. "I understand and agree to your terms."
"Good and what is in the bag?" Lena asked.
"Food for the twins. They like certain ones," Ana replied.
"I need to see them, my kids have allergies to certain things," Lena replied.
Ana nodded and gave her the bag. Lena bit her lip. "I'm sorry Ana but I can't have peanut butter and strawberry jelly here."
"What? Why not?" Ana asked.
"Brandon and Bradley have a peanut and Strawberry allergy, Matthew and Max have a berry allergy and my triplets have a peanut butter and Strawberry allergy and I don't want cross contamination."
"Fine," Ana said as she told Jesus and Mariana. They were mad and upset as their mama told them why they could not have peanut butter and strawberry jelly sandwiches and Lena and Mike felt bad. Lena was still wary about Mariana after she pushed Callie into the deep end of the pool.
"You haven't told her about the twins allergies?"
"I thought I did," Mike replied. "I guess I forgot."
"Why not mommy?" the twins asked.
"Lena and Stef's kids minus AJ and Jack have allergies to peanut butter, berries and strawberries," Ana said. Jesus and Mariana were disappointed.
"I understand," Jesus replied. He has a dog allergy and hasn't told his mommy yet and since Mike has two dogs at home he got last year the little boy knew he would not give them away. He got them for the twins and they are girl dogs and fixed and named Daisy and Minnie. The twins were little when they got their dogs.
But Jesus knew how to hide his pet allergies.
Jesus understood, but Mariana was upset. "That sucks," the girl replied.
"Can we eat them at Mike's?" she asked.
Before Ana could answer, Mike did. "No I'm afraid not."
The twins nodded and Ana eyed him and knew he would not budge.
Lena came back in the room. "We need to discuss the rules."
"What rules?" Mariana asked. Ana gave her daughter a look.
"After you pushed my daughter in the deep end of the pool, we all decided if you hurt Callie again you won't be invited back here or to the mansion for parties or other functions," Lena stated. "Same goes for my parents, in-laws and former in-laws homes."
Ana and Mike knew and Mariana nodded. "I get it you were in the system, but that is not my kids fault. Understand me?" Lena asked.
"Yes," Mariana replied. "Where are we going to sleep?"
