Stephanie Marie Adams Foster was shocked and wondered where the time went since she gave birth to her twin boys ten years ago. She was shocked at how time just goes by and it felt like she just gave birth to them an hour ago.
Lena felt for her wife and realized she wasn't there and got up to find her. She saw a light on in the kitchen and saw her wife nursing a cup of coffee. "Penny for your thoughts?" Lena asked.
"How fast does time go?" she asked. Lena smiled in a sad way. The twins are ten years old today and she understood her wife. Matthew and Max are now seven, as well as Jack. AJ is eleven and her three baby bugs will be seven in three months on the dot.
"Double digits," Lena replied. "I understand how you feel. I can't believe my three baby bugs will be seven in three months or the fact that our youngest set of twins are seven. It feels like I just gave birth to my baby triplets and just adopted the twins."
"It feels like time goes to fast."
"It does, but how we spend it makes all the difference," Lena replied. "I find that I want to spend more time with our babies. They are growing up super fast."
"Agreed. After the boys stopped wearing diapers that was it for me. They weren't babies anymore. And it felt that they were getting older by the day and I missed the late night feedings, the diaper changes and all the things I did with them as babies."
"The same for me," Lena said. "At least my three youngest still liked to be cuddled and read too."
"Agreed and it's cute," Stef replied. "I feel for Robert though."
"Yes. He never got to experience them as babies. He regrets that now."
"I see it everyday," Stef said. "He's a good dad."
"That he is," Lena replied. "Um we need to talk."
"It is not like you to change the subject?" Stef asked. "What's up?"
"Remember Grace and her twins Mason and Madison she adopted from the foster care system?"
"Yeah. Grace and the twins went to the triplets fifth birthday bash at Robert's. Why?"
"Grace called. Their mother Ana Gutierrez just got out of prison and I'm not sure for what and she asked to meet the twins."
"And this concerns us why?"
Lena bit her lip. "Here is the picture of Ana Gutierrez."
The name was common and Stef took Lena's cell and eyed the girlfriend of her ex husband Mike.
"What the hell?" Stef asked. "It's Ana."
"I know and she was in prison," Lena replied.
Stef's face got red. "She was in prison? But Armando did a search and nothing came up."
"I'm worried that the twins see Mike every other weekend," Lena replied.
"Agreed. We don't know why she was in prison for."
"Mike is so on my shit list right now," Stef replied.
"If nothing was found. He might not have known," Lena replied as Stef nodded.
"If he did found out about her being in prison I fear he might not have told us," the blonde said.
"Why not?" Lena asked.
"He kept Ana a secret for months," Stef replied. Lena's eyes went wide as she remembered that and how upset Stef was and how she got mad more as Mike rattled off every lie she told him and how he said she never told him about Lena, even when she did.
