Robert dropped off the boys as they ran into their advanced Kindergarten class early as he made his way to Lena's office. "Mama why can't I go to class?" Callie asked. "Am I in trouble?"
"No baby girl. I just need someone to take you," Lena replied. "I can't."
"But I could have gone when we first got here," Callie whined and pouted. A knock was heard and Lena opened it with a smile. "Hi come in," she replied as Robert came in with two coffee's and a hot white chocolate with three huge cupcakes. Callie's smile faded.
"Um hi baby buggy. I'm sorry about hitting your face," Robert replied. "It was an accident."
"Go away!" Callie replied. "You hate me and you don't love me anymore."
"That's not true," Robert replied. "Not true at all."
"I don't believe you!" she cried out even if she did want to believe him. "You wanted me to eat with that rude girl. But she did apologize," she replied.
"Baby buggy. I," he replied as she ran in her mama's private bathroom and cried in the corner and locked the door. "I will call her out of school and you will have the full day with her. She won't function like this."
"Here's the key and I will see Grace Chen," Lena replied. Robert nodded and took fifteen minutes and used the key to open the door as he heard his baby girl's cries.
He sat opposite Callie as she cried. "Baby buggy. I'm here and I can't leave and Dada's sorry."
Callie was still in the corner crying as she eyed her daddy. She wanted to go to him but was scared. She bit her lip as the bell rang and her mama came back. "No class today baby girl," Lena replied.
"Why not?" Callie asked.
"You and daddy need to have the day together," Lena replied.
"NO. I DON'T WANT TO MAMA!" she yelled. "NO."
"What's going on in here?" Stef asked. "I can hear my baby doll where I parked."
"I'M NOT GOING WITH ROBERT!" Callie screamed. Robert's eyes went wide as his heart hurt. He bit his lip and eyed Lena and Stef. They were both sad and before either parent could fathom what happened next, Callie fled from her mama's office and ran all the way to the track and all three ran after her. The gate was opened that led out to the street and Lena caught up to her baby girl and held her tight.
"No baby girl," Lena replied as Callie cried in her arms. Stef eyed Robert as he wiped his tears.
"She didn't mean to say Robert," Stef replied. Robert nodded.
"Don't want Dada to hit me," Callie replied.
Lena was confused as her mind went back to when the triplets got beat by a man in Primary Care. "Baby girl. Dada is not like that man in Primary Care."
"Don't want to spend the day with him please mama. Pretty please," she begged as Lena nodded.
"It's best if I went Stef," Robert said as Stef nodded. He went to see Lena.
"Um Lena. I'm leaving. It's for the best," he replied. He bit his lip and Lena nodded.
"I'm leaving baby buggy. And I love you," he replied. "I um never meant to hit you and it was an accident."
Callie mumbled and whimpered as he left. The girl saw him leave and was sad about it, but was scared of him. "What now?" Lena asked.
"I got the day off and I work tomorrow instead," Stef replied. "And plan one to get them back together has now started."
