"Who made this mess?" Stef asked. "And why isn't it cleaned up?"
Jack smirked. "Mommy aren't the triplets punished and on kitchen duty?"
Stef sighed. "They are. CALEB, CALLUM AND CALLIE. GET YOUR BUTTS DOWN HERE NOW!"
"Yes mommy?" Callie asked a tad bit sick. She had a cold and cough and Lena was at the pharmacy to get her medication. Stef didn't seem to notice or care. The girl was told to stay in bed by her mama and being sick was getting worse.
"You three clean up this kitchen now," Stef added. They eyed her confused.
"What?" they asked. Callie's head was in a fog and she could barely keep her eyes opened.
Nate and Timothy saw her and sighed. "Stef can we talk?"
"Sure," Stef added. "Don't you three move."
"Yes mommy," they whispered. Callie sat on the couch and her brothers sat with her as she leaned her head against them. It had been three days since they did their huge mistake that got them spanked for the first time. Their butts were still on fire and it hurt to sit.
"What is it?" Stef asked.
"Jack is the one that needs to clean the kitchen since he invited friends over and they used it and Lena already told him and he got two weeks for inviting friends over without permission and making a mess and one of the kids invited was Ben and Callie saw him."
"WHAT?" Stef asked. "He lied to me? And he had Ben over?"
"He did," Nate replied. Stef went to get Jack and he sighed.
"I know the truth and clean up the kitchen and you know the rules about inviting friends over without permission and if the kitchen is used it needs to be cleaned up and Ben can't be over here at all over what he did to Callie."
He rolled his eyes and nodded and glared at the triplets. The three were too tired and sad to care that he glared at them. The triplets didn't care at all and didn't defend themselves.
Stef eyed the triplets and left without talking to them as Nate and Timothy sighed.
"Let's get you into bed," Nate added as he lifted Callie into his arms as the girl was tired and asleep as he took her to the master bedroom.
In the master bedroom, the girl went to bed and was out like a light. Stef walked in and eyed the girl asleep and didn't know she was sicker than a dog. "What's wrong with her?"
"She's sick. A nasty cold and cough," Nate said. "It's bad."
"Lena went to get the medication and things she likes," Timothy replied. Stef nodded. In her heart, she broke. In her mind it was just another day. As she left, she eyed her girl, her sick girl and was indifferent yet again.
Callie began to cry since her mommy didn't stay. When one of them was sick she was with that sick child. It broke the girl's heart.
In the backyard, "Mommy hates you both and Callie too," Jack told Caleb and Callum.
The two boys just walked away and ignored him. "She does. She can barely stand you three at all. No wonder she is ignoring you. I would not be surprised if she undid your adoptions."
Caleb and Callum eyed one another as they went to their shared room and cried. What Jack said hurt and stung as they could not help but think and feel he was right about the whole hate thing and the undoing of their adoptions.
"He could be right," Caleb asked. "Mommy has been ignoring us since after she spanked us."
"You think she would undo our adoptions?" Callum asked. "We are her sons."
