On Alert

Lena Adams Foster was a mama Tiger when it came to her kids and their safety as her wife called on her cell phone and Lena picked up and knew it was bad and it was the end of school. "Babe?"

"Lena love. We are all on alert right now. And Mike, Armando, Nicole and I have to stay here at the station and the Military is on alert right now too."

"What's the plan?" Lena asked scared and worried. 

"After school, take the kids home, as well as the Riviera Rossi kids, Emma, Kelsey, Tayla, Tia and Thomas."

"I won't be able to fit all of them in my van," Lena added.

"Nate is coming with his car to pick up Timothy and take three of the kids."

"Agreed," Lena replied as the bell rang and she got her stuff and locked her door and went to get her kids and brought them to her office as well as the other kids. Jack is still in school.

"Mama what's wrong?" Callie asked. "I saw cops. Lots of them and I saw mommy and she waved and didn't come over and give me a kiss or hug."

"I will tell you all," Lena added. "Mommy called earlier and the cops and Military are on alert and I don't know why and the Riviera Rossi kids, as well as Emma, Kelsey, Tayla, Tia and Thomas are coming home with us."

"Is it bad?" Callie asked.

"I don't know baby girl," Lena replied. "Once the bell rings I will go get Jack."

"He has a play date with Darby, Ben and Tristan," AJ added.

"It was cancelled by me," Lena replied. The kids nodded as the bell rang and Lena went to get Jack and he eyed his mama and knew it was bad. "Mama? What are you doing here?"

"The play date was cancelled since mommy called. We are on alert."

"What about Darby, Ben and Tristan and Darby's twin?"

"Their parents need to make plans for them," Lena replied. "Let's go. Your siblings are waiting."

"Can we drop them off at least?" Jack asked. Lena sighed and felt bad. 

"My van is packed," Lena replied as she filled him in as he sighed and said goodbye to his friends as he left with his mama. In the office, Callie was missing. "Where is your baby sister?" Lena asked in a panic.

"Restroom," AJ added. "We told her to wait for you or use your restroom and she refused."

Lena ran out and down the hallway to the restroom and ran in and her heart broke and her anger she had flew out the window and her heart as she hugged her baby girl. Her daughter was crying.

"I'm sorry mama," her daughter replied. "I'm scared."

"That's alright baby girl and not again," Lena replied. "How  about some lunch?"

"At home?" the girl asked.

" McDonald's?" Lena asked as she nodded.

Jack was pensive and knew it was bad as Lena got the call from Sarah Fitzgerald.

"Hi Sarah. No sorry but I have a full van and I'm off toward home," she replied.

"Oh," Sarah said. 

"I understand," Lena added. "No my wife is at work and no your kids can't come over. I have all of my kids and their friends and Ben can't be in my home after the lies and rumors he is spreading about Callie. I can have my brother drop off the kids in his car and come back and pick up your kids."

"That's fine , but I will get my brother and I don't want to sound rude but I don't know your brother," Sarah added. "Be safe and thank you."

"You too. All of you," Lena added as she ended the call and felt bad. Jack bit his lip at how stupid his friend's mom was sounding.
