It was very early in the morning and at two, Stef was up and in her uniform as she eyed her sad wife. Stef hugged her hard as the curly haired woman cried. "I got you love."

"I know, but I will miss you and not see you for a full year. It sucks," Lena added. "Our kids will miss you and you will miss a full year of new firsts and new things."

"Don't remind me. This whole thing is crap and shit. I will miss my big twins turning sixteen, our oldest child turn seventeen, and our six youngest turn thirteen and miss waking up each morning to see your face."

Lena felt bad as she heard her wife for various reasons. It hurt her heart to say the least. Her wife was her life, but she wasn't in love with her fully and she will always love Robert fully and it hurt as they shared a kiss and hug.

"I so want to take you right now, but we got to leave. Are the kids awake?" Stef asked.

"They are," Lena replied. "They went to bed early for this."

"I know," Stef added. All the kids were in the living room and the only one asleep was Callie and the moms eyed her concerned. "She tossed and turned all night," Emma replied.

"Why didn't she come get us?" Lena asked as she went to get her daughter.

"She wanted too, but wanted you two to have your time," Kelsey replied. The moms felt ashamed that their daughter basically slept like crap for their lovemaking. The girl was out and would be for a while.

"It's not like we can't hear it," Tia replied.

"TIA!" the girls added as Stef had Callie in her arms who was sound asleep. Their girl is a heavy sleeper and a car honk was heard and it was Robert and Jeffrey in the Limo. The kids got their backpacks and Caleb got Callie's too.

All the kids and the moms got in the Limo and Stef's luggage was stored in the trunk compartment as they went to get Mike, Nicole and the twins. The two sets of twins eyed the Limo and knew it was Robert Quinn.

Nicole saw the new toys that weren't open and knew Isabella would want to open them. "Are those to play with?"

"No I just got them for Callie," Robert added. Nicole nodded as she saw them and they were all
Puzzles that were 10,000 pieces and they were all different. Some were about nature and others were about animals.

"Lena I'm taking all the kids up North after we get back to unwind since your parents and in-laws are at the retreat," Robert replied. Lena nodded as she remembered the older people went to a love retreat for some much needed time. It was a two week one and they would need the time since the kids would be theirs until school started up in a few short weeks for the spring semester.

"I remember," Lena replied. "I do and thanks."

Nicole stayed out of it and knew Robert could not handle all of the kids by himself and was about to ask if her kids could come. "And Callie will like it the most. The home we will be at is near a preserve for cats and dogs."

Nicole kept her mouth shut. "My mom and dad opened up a preserve for cats and one for dogs."

"Oh that's nice," Stef said. "How long ago?"

"A few months and she wants all the kids to see it," he added. The two wives nodded. Nicole stayed quiet as she eyed Mike who looked a tad bit upset.

Callie woke up two hours later, as they pulled into a diner and they all got out and the waitress saw Robert and waved and he waved back. Once she saw Lena, she smiled wide. The girl was clingy with both of her moms, especially the one leaving. Stef had Callie on her hip.
