A Different Way To Finding Each Other

Ripped Pictures, Skinned Knees, Hurt Feelings

It is now the first week of April and Callie had three pictures she drew for her mama, mommy and daddy. She was excited as she walked toward her art class with her classmates back to their classroom with their teacher Timothy as she they all walked in. She admired her three drawings and smiled.

An older boy, named Jonathon Greene eyed Callie with a weird look. "Three parents?" he asked himself as he smirked. He is a bully and all the other kids are afraid of him and he is in Brandon, Bradley's and AJ's class. He teased AJ till their teacher warned him to stop or his parents will be called. He sighed and stopped, but now he set his eyes on Callie and smirked.

Her mama's was a bouquet of Roses, her mommy's was a police car and her daddy's was a row boat on a lake or river. She put them in her backpack and sat in her seat next to Lexi and her brothers.

"Can I see your drawings Callie?" Lexi asked as Callie nodded.

"Here they are," Callie replied.

"WOW. These are nice," Lexi replied. "Can you draw me one next time?"

"I did," Callie replied as she pulled out a fourth one and gave it to her best friend and the drawing was of a cat, dog and fish since they are her best friends pets.

"I love it," Lexi replied. "Don't forget. Today is craft day at Extended daycare."

"I almost forgot," Callie replied. "I wonder what we are doing today?"

"Hope it is something good to do," Lexi replied.

"Me too," Callie said as Timothy came back in.

"Okay boys and girls. Silent reading until the bell for recess and lunch."

All the kids nodded and went to pick a book to read. Callie chose Everyone Loves Bacon and Lexi chose Everyone Loves Cupcake and the other kids in class did too and they all began to read their books.

The bell rang and all the kids went out toward recess at a run as Lena eyed her baby girl and her best friends running. "Girls. Walk," Lena replied as they stopped.

"Sorry," they all mumbled. Callie smiled sweetly as Robert came with twelve happy meals from McDonald's  and they all got apple juice and two toys and a free four piece chicken McNugget with Hot Mustard for the dipping sauce and apple slices. He got adult combos for himself, Stef and Lena. 

The kids played first as Robert smirked. "So you forgot to make their lunches?"

"We all woke up late," Lena replied as she gave him a slight glare. "Don't you start."

"Is Stef coming too? I got her food as well."

"She is and here she comes now," Lena replied. 

"A number four?" Stef asked as Robert nodded. "Thank you."

"You are welcome?" Robert said.

"Why twelve happy meals?" Lena asked.

"Armando and Micah forgot too and since I got for the kids I decided to get for their kids as well," he replied. He smiled as he saw all the kids on the play structure.

"Remember when we opted for the library Lena?"

"I sure do," Lena replied. "It was mostly to get away from the teasing."

"Was it all the time, my love?" Stef asked.

"Yes and sometimes I hated coming to school," Lena replied. "It sucked."

"Oh Lena my mama wanted to know if you are going to sign Callie up for the mama, mommy and daughter Tea?"

"Yes I want to," Lena replied. "I will call her at my break."
