Back In The Prison System

Ana Maria Gutierrez was on her way back to prison and she hated that she was caught and dreaded being back in the place she was at for almost twenty three years. She lost a lot and she had two sets of twins that she will never be a mother to. She wondered how Jesus and Mariana were doing at Mike's and what he told them. She let them down again, like she let her first set of twins down. But she knew that Mason and Madison were okay. They always were and they were spared the bad of the foster care system. They never knew what it meant to not eat every day, or not have clothes or shoes that fit or beatings and being ridiculed by the bio children of the foster families. They were lucky. Jesus and Mariana on the other hand were not so lucky and they got the opposite of their older siblings and bad. No wonder Mariana was the way she was.

But Ana smiled and knew they were okay and spared the foster care system. But she didn't know the truth and that her kids were in the foster care system again since November. She missed Mike and knew she screwed up and knew she they were never going to be together again in that way. She sighed and knew she would always have a reminder of him and grinned and sighed in a sad way as she patted her small baby bump.

When she discovered she was indeed pregnant, she felt bittersweet. This baby was going to be born in prison like Jesus and Mariana were. They would be marked and at least they were going to be raised together. The only things she felt bad about were making Mike a single parent to their would be baby and her twins she had with Gabriel. She hoped he would make it and knew five kids was a lot.

In her heart, she knew she might have twins. What would Mike do? And she hoped Stef and Lena would help them out. But knew Mariana was not allowed back in the Adams Foster family home after she hurt Callie as well as the other other homes of their extended family.

She feared Mike not be able to handle it and she sighed as she was led to the infirmary to check on her pregnancy as she was helped on a bed and checked.

"You seem fine. Any discomfort?" the prison Doctor asked.

"None," Ana replied. "When can I found out about the gender?"

"At your fifth month," Doctor Glenda Ross replied as Ana nodded.

"So March?"

"Yes," Glenda Ross stated as Ana was escorted back to the block for pregnant and nursing mothers. Ana was depressed and missed Mike and he had yet to see her or call. She was not allowed to call him or anyone for that matter. She missed him and her baby twins.

She wiped her tears as she was led back into her cell. She could see her parents and their disapproval of her as she sat on her bunk as she remembered how they treated her as a child and she hated it. Hated being ignored, hated being overlooked, hated being a slave to her older brothers, hated being like an outcast, hated being Ana Gutierrez.

Her twin never let her be a slave to him like the other boys did.

At the Pike's Peak River, Mike, Mark and the twins were on a fishing trip to get past recent events that transpired and they all needed a break from all of the stress of Ana, Micah Foster, and Jesus and Mariana Gutierrez back in the foster care system.

"So boys how are you and school?" Mike asked.

"Good. We are kind of big since Ana got arrested and they all want to know how it is to live in the same household with a prison convict," they replied.

"And?" Mike asked.

"We told them the truth. None of us knew she was in prison," Brandon replied for him and Bradley.

"Kids are nosy these days," Mark replied. "But you two are right. No one knew."

"Daddy, how are you feeling after finding out you were a twin?"
