Bethany Marie Cooper eyed her birth certificate and went to find her biological mother, the same one who gave her up. The seventeen year old wanted her to sign her rights away so she can get emancipated as she got up and left as she left in March to the home of her bio mother.
Bethany Marie Foster was in foster care since she was born and went through fifteen foster homes as she endured torment after torment. Pain after pain and abuse after abuse as she wondered why her mom gave her up and never wanted her?
Her life in foster care marked her to the point that no home was right for her. If she wasn't teased by the foster parents real kids, she got blamed for the crap they caused and if anything was stolen or broke, she got the beatings and it was always the fault of the real kids of her foster parents. She just wants her bio mom to sign the paperwork to get emancipated and they can both look the other way. But in the end, she is curious and wants to know why she was given up like trash. Why she wasn't wanted either?
She wanted out of the group home and the only reason she was there was the simple fact that her foster brother tried to rape her and she called the cops and the foster brother said she was lying and she was arrested for the fake attempted rape and was sent to juvie for six months and after she got out she was sent to Girls United, a group home when she was sixteen.
Group homes are the last straw for foster kids in the system and she didn't like it there and in fact she got the idea to get emancipated. So instead of going back to Girls United after school she ended up going to the home of her birth mother as she got her birth certificate and the address of the home her birth mother lived at.
To be honest, Bethany is scared and happy to see her birth mother and hoped her birth mother was too. But in all honestly, she hated her for giving her up and it was her fault for her seventeen years in the foster care system, alone, beaten, almost starved and almost raped.
Her anger and hurt got the better of her as she cried and took a bus to the Adams Foster home as she thought about if her mother was married or had kids after her. She would feel bad and like shit if she were to find out she had other kids and didn't want to keep her as the tears appeared on her face and slid down her cheeks as she wiped them away.
As a little girl, she imagined that her mother would come back for her and take her away from foster care and call her baby girl. But that dream was ruptured when she turned twelve and she realized she was dumb, naive and gullible to ever think her mother would come back for her. Why would she if she gave me up as a newborn in a hospital?
She wondered about her birth father and wondered if they stayed together and if it was a one night stand? Or if they were dating and they both didn't want her. But her birth certificate had her father not listed and she sighed.
Her thoughts left her to think she was the product of unprotected sex or worse the product of rape which those two are the main reasons babies are put in foster care. Or was she the product of her bio mom with a married man?
Either case, she was the product of something and she needed to find out what and why and needed to get her paperwork signed as she made her way to find her bio mother, the woman who gave her up, Stephanie Marie Cooper.
Callie heard the doorbell and she went to get her mama as Lena opened the door with Callie on her left hip. "Can I help you?"
"Hi I'm here to see Stephanie Cooper? I'm Bethany Cooper."
"And is she expecting you?" Lena Adams Foster asked. "I'm her wife and she doesn't go by Stephanie Cooper anymore it's been a long time. She's Adams Foster."
"No she's not expecting me. I'm her daughter, Bethany Marie Cooper and want this signed by her so I can get emancipated. I'm Seventeen and can't handle the foster care system anymore."
