The very next day, Cass announced that he had to go on "angel business". He shot a meaningful look at Dean as he said it. Dean got the message and pouted behind Sam's back, which made Cass sharpen his look and Dean roll his eyes.

Cass disappeared soon after, and Sam turned to Dean and said, "Looks like it's just you and me, Deanna."

"Looks like it, Sammy." Dean didn't want to admit it, but he'd been avoiding Sam so he wouldn't have to tell him what he did. Unfortunately, Cass saw right through him and forced them to be alone. Dean took a deep breath, trying to decide if he just wanted to get this over with. He slipped one hand over his still bandaged wrist. Suddenly he was back in that bathroom, the blood dripping out of him and into the bathtub. The pain from the razor burning and stinging as he rinsed off the last of the blood so he could bandage the wound and dispose of the blade before anyone found out. I should've flushed it. God I'm a dumbass. Dean thought to himself.

"You okay, Deanna?" Sam asked. He was try to make an attempt to use Deanna every time he addressed Dean to try and get into the habit.

"I'm fine," Dean lied.

Sam looked at him oddly, but let the matter go.

"Wait, Sam, that was a complete lie. I'm not okay right now," Dean suddenly blurted after a few minutes of silence.

Sam gave Dean the look to go on.

"The night you called me by my previous name..." Dean paused, "Please, promise you won't get mad."

"It's okay, Deanna, you can tell me anything."

Dean closed his eyes and bit down on his lip, "I hurt myself."

"What do you mean, Deanna?" Sam asked, worry in his tone.

"I cut my wrists that night." Dean didn't even know when they started, but tears were running down his cheeks.

Sam was shocked, "Oh, baby, you should've talked to me about it! I don't want to see you hurt yourself." He quickly enveloped Dean in his arms. "I love you, Deanna, you know that. I'm sorry that I made that mistake. This is just a lot right now, for all of us."

"I know, and it's all my fault."

"Don't say that. Cass and I both just want you to be happy."

Dean didn't reply, and Sam slowly took his hands and pushed up his sleeve. Looking at Dean to make sure it was okay, he took his bandages off, and saw the cuts Dean made in his skin.

"Oh, Deanna," Sam sighed. He kissed the healing cuts and said, "Please, anytime you feel like doing this again, come to me or Cass. We're here for you."

"I know. Cass said the same thing."

"You talked to him first?"

"He found the razor blade and questioned me. I wasn't going to tell anyone until then."

"Deanna, it's killing me to know that you were going to keep this all to yourself. I'm going to work harder to get to know you, especially since you've changed so much in the last couple months even, but I know you're finally happy with yourself. I love you, no matter what."

"I know, Sammy, and I love you too."

Sam leaned forward to kiss Dean.

"What do you want to do now?" Sam asked.

"I just want you to hold me while we watch TV or something," Dean laughed.

"You got it."
