the night was a special kind of blackness, the kind that wants only to hold the stars and help them to shine all the brighter.

It was a warm black that hugged you no matter what, and within it's safety I could feel my own soul all the more clearly, that innocent inborn spark.

Not quite the hot dark of embers, but a soft, hopeful dark. The dark that comes just before the sunrise, a kind of dark that helps the orange and gold blossom across the sky, like a small flower trembling open.

The dark that encourages you to fall asleep as you close your eyes, tossing and turning in a futile attempt to slip away into the depths of unconsciousness, blissfully unaware.

The type of dark that occurs in a complete solar eclipse, blocking out the light, the noise, the feeling of being, leaving you in the silence of serenity, if only for a few seconds.

she was alone , feeling a soothing wave of warm and peaceful breeze of wind .

the silence she needed , the silence she needed to ease her mind from all the events that had happened , her messy childhood and what not .

she left Canada at an incredibly young age , having to survive alone in the cold harsh streets of korea without friends or family .

her brother , Mark Lee , was back in canada , taking care of their parents .

she needed the time to sort out her mind yet she never got the time to do so , even when she thought she did , she didn't - her moment was ruined and scattered into pieces with an interruption of a voice .

" why are you here ?" the same deep voice lingered , the one she recognised as jisung's .

spinning her body around , she was sure she was alone in the midst of the darkness yet the one she least expected to show up , showed up .

"w-wait am I delusional , am I seeing things right ?" She rubbed her eyes again , staring at the guy like she had seen an alien - someone that was unusual and not meant to be .

" you're crazy ." jisung rolled his eyes , scoffing due to her behaviour .

" how'd you find this place ?" she asked , confusion arose in her as she knew not many had known the place .

"what do you mean ? I've always been here. Ever since I was young" jisung shrugged , ficking through his apps on his phone . the shine from the phone screen radiating towards her .

"But there's no way anyone can find this place..." she spoke .

"you don't own this place." he turned off his phone , glaring at her .

"but when- what- how?" she stuttered out a wave of questions , like a canon in a war .

"it's just a place i went to when i... never mind it's getting late , eun." jisung turned his back from the area , by the look of his eyes , she knew something tragic had happened .

she knew the pair of eyes , the pair of eyes that was filled with misery and tragedy. it wasn't new to her .

before he turned around , just for that one glimpse, she could've swore she saw a tear roll down his cheek .

but honestly who was she to ask ? was she even someone in value to him ? or was she just a barrier keeping him from happiness , what if she was just an annoying intruder ?

at the end of the day , nothing good was earned .

at the end of the day , nothing good was earned
